Englander stove.Bought 12 bags of maines choice pellets from lowes just to try out.I had just cleaned the stove and tried the pellets.after 2 days the results were low heat, much ash, fast burning and a dirty stove!Do not buy these pellets, bad deal.I will stick with new England wood pellets.

I had 4 ton of these and thought I liked them until I bought Premium Pellets from Home Depot. I installed an additional pellet stove in my family room and pour the pellets from the bag into a 5 gal bucket to load the stove. When pouring these pellets into the bucket then into the stove I get allot of dust. Must be fines. The Premium Pellets from the depot have not dust. Unfortunately, when buying at the depot you get what they have. I will not buy Maine choice again unless that is all they carry,

I purchased 3 ton at Lowes and will never purchase these again! These are by far the worst pellet that I have ever used due to the fact that they produce very little heat and a lot of ash.

I have a Harmon 25 and have used Green Choice from Lowe's for 2 years with very good luck. This year I tried Maine's choice. Just my opinion, but these are not nearly as good. I just called Lowe's to return 2 tons because the heat is not nearly as good and the ash is considerably higher. I tried a not so scientific experiment tonight, because I was convinced when I stuck my hand through the pellets in the hopper they felt damp. So I took my thermometer with humidity sensor from my Kitchen where it read 68 degrees and 19% humidity and I stuck it in the hopper on top of the pellets. Now it read 95 degrees 39% humidity...hmmmmm. Now I'm sure someone could find a valid reason for this, but doesn't it seem the pellets should be a little drier? Dry=heat. IDK, Lowe's is swapping them out for me no charge....TY very much Lowe's, good customer service.

Harmon 25. Good heat, low ash. A bit more clinkers and smoke on start up than Logik-E or Vermont Pellets
Overall Maine Choice is a good choice. low odor, good heat, not much ash, very few fines.

I have an englander summers heat? $1000 model. More ash than other pellets i used last year ( penington) but after 20 years of burning wood shoveling ashes cleaning chimneys pellets are a dream to use.

I am new to burning pellets and my first go-round with pellets has been Maine Choice. I purchase them at the local Home Depot and for the most part have been pretty satisfied with the results. Heat output seems to be good and for someone that has burned wood for over 0 years I find that the ash problem is minimal. I have had clunkers but they have been small and appear to break down easily. So if you have any doubt about this product I would give it an OK rating! As to soot gathering on the glass again this has been a minimal issue. Easily cleaned off and perhaps bags it is time to clean again but it is only around the pwerimeter
