I have a Breckwell p3000 and have been burning pellets for ten years, these pellets have lots of dust in the bags which clogs the stove and they do produce more ash then most pellets. The pellets don't produce much heat making me burn on a higher setting thus burning more than usual. I do not recommend then nor will I buy them again.
We were using a different brand of pellets and ran out and these were available immediately. The heat output is not good at all, a ton of ash and since we've been using these, the feed auger jams and shuts down the stove. Extrememly not happy at all!
Have a lopi Firefox 400 I'm just about threw the 50 bags I bought and I can't wait for them to be gone. VERY HIGH ash content. Stove needs to be cleaned every 2 days. I will not be buying these again.
The pellets seem to burn faster than other brands, one bag of north American pellets will burn in less than 24 hours whereas other brands I've used last 24+ hours on the same heat level. In addition to these pellets burning faster than the competitors making it so one ton will not last as long, the bags split open very easily which causes loss of pellets. I feel as if I would have been better off paying slightly more for a little bit of quality.
I have a Harman P61A got a ton of these pellets from Lowes, I really like them. Do not notice any difference from the Canadian Hardwood pellets from years ago and North American. Even my old Lopi (1991 circa) burns them very good. If having troubler perhaps need to check and make sure proper installation of stove(s). Fresh air is the key.
I have a lopi agp insert and I burn ever brand Loews sales and never had a problem. I see veryone complaining about ash build up. News flash it's wood and your going to get ash.
We have a Harman pellet stove that works great. I wish I could say the same about North American Pellets. Very high ash content. Not worth buying again
Not impressed. I have purchased 150 this season since I am limited on options because I purchased a pellet stove too late in the season. Too much ash. What bothers me the most is the way they package them. In every one of the three pallets about half way through them, I've found the seal open and since have lost about two bags worth of pellets due to this. Will be contacting Lowes and informing them that as long as they carry this brand I will not be purchasing pellets from them.
Not the best. I bought these at home depot for my Englander Corn/Pellet stove. I thought that since they are "hardwood" they would burn hotter and cleaner but they don't. I can burn other brands on and auger setting of 9 but these can't get past 5 without a lazy fire and clogging the burn pot. Won't use them again.
