I bought 8 bags of these to try at the local Home Depot. After burning 3 bags and comparing heat output that I was getting with a couple of other brands, I'm not very impressed with them. I find them to burn inconsistently and as others state they are ashy. I will use the 5 bags I have left on warmer days.

Should have read the reviews on these pellets before I bought a ton of them.... so much ash!!! Decent heat but I have to clean out my stove every few days...and that's on low!! Now burning Dry Creek premium pellets and getting great heat and extremely low ash.

    This company is a Joke.
I have had 4 ruined bags of pellets this year in a weeks time "same batch" and when I called about the issue of pellets that couldnt be used I was told nothing they can do about it knowing its not their fault. Well, these pellets were sealed and never used in a ton container that was sealed but its not their fault.

Whatever , take responsibility of your products and dont blame anyone but yourselfs.

Of all the pellets I have burned in my Whitfield stove, these did the absolute worst. In my stove, they burned up way to fast, the stove would barely stay lit if left on the lowest setting. I actually had to adjust the fine adjustment for the pellet feed to get the flame to stay any decent size. I would not purchase these pellets again for my stove.

I have a new englander stove, and the pellets provide some decent heat but alot of unburnable pellets. I have to clean the stove every couple days I have 4 tons for the winter. it's gonna suck cleaning the stove twice a week with all that ash

I have now used 5 bags of these pellets in my Englander 25-pvdc stove and here are my observations: 1) $4.18 a bag at Lowes in Farmingdale, NY, 2) Average heat given off, 3) Very high ash content, 4) Auger squeels horribly. You can't even run your stove more than 18 hours before shutting down and cleaning. I am running my stove at the lowest setting (1,1). Found that Stove Chow and Timber Heat are better with slighter less maintenance and no auger noise.

I purchased some of these pellets from Home Depot this fall and I think they suck low heat and dirty burning. I'll never buy these again.

I am currently burning the North American pellets purchased at Lowe's. I am new this year to burning pellets, so I have only used this brand and the Fireside brand from Home Depot. Both cost $219 a ton. I have not tried any premium pellets yet, only the large store brands, so my experience is limited. However, I found that the North American brand creates a lot more ash than the Fireside brand - about twice as much. It does not produce as many clinkers, but I'm vacuuming every 3 days at a minimum when I run the stove on high. I am using a Heatilator Eco-Choice 35,000 BTU - a very small stove. I don't think I will purchase the North American brand again, based on the amount of cleaning required.

I have a quadratec fire Sante Fe 7 years old. I maintain and clean on a regular basis, I normaly clean it once a week, ie vacuum, brush and clean exaust pipes. With north American pellet I am cleaning every other day, along with scraping clinkers out with a putty knife. So far I've gone thru two and a half tons and have 15 gallons of ash and clinkers. It also smells like I'm burning newspaper.

Purchases at Lowes for $219.00 ton. Average heat. No clinkers. Lots of ash! Using in a Brickwell Big E stove. I can usually go 5 days befor cleaning. I can get only three days before ash is full. They burn well but produce to much ash. The green supreme were much better at Lowes.
