Been using these in my Vogelzang with NO problem. Not sure what the problem is here, although I see that people having problems are using the same few manufacturer stoves. Some here are saying they used NEWP's for YEARS with no problems, then they get a 'bad bag' and never use them again? Questionable. And the lack of BTU claims really don't make a lot of sense. Unless you're soaking them in water beforehand they're just wood pellets. You have to wonder about some of these reviews...

I have a St. Croix insert which is a little finicky... I have been burning Okanagan Douglas Fir pellets which are great... Unfortunately I burned through my 3.5 ton and it is tough to get any pellets... I bought 10 bags of New England premium wood pellets and these do not come close to the Okanagan Douglas Fir... I fortunately haven't experienced jams with the New England Premium Pellets but the ash and debris on the glass is horrible and the pellets do not release nearly the same amount of heat. (I miss my Douglas Firs!!)

picked up five bags of New Englanders yesterday. THe pellets supply is very short in the western NY area. Have used Hamers with great success, but these New Englanders are definitely of lesser quality. Glad I didnt buy a ton... I have been buying small batches where ever I find a new recommended pellet. Im a new stove owner and have found this site very accurate. Hamers are selling for $6.50/bag and are the best I have ever burned and better be for the $$$. The New Englander $5.80/bag adequate but too expensive. Green Team has worked well but cant find anymore $5.50/bag. Timber Heat was adequate $4.69/bag- gone. Cheat River was good $4.49/bag -gone. Anyone know where to find good pellets near Wayland/Cohocton NY?

I just tried 5 bags of New England Wood Pellets. I read here, many reviews not liking these pellets. After burning 5 bags, I have to say these pellets are a quality pellet! 5 bags of these pellets only produces about 1/8 cup of dust and absolutely no fines! They burned hot and 5 bags lasted me 3 days with the stove on the high setting with thermostat set at 72. They did produce a bit of ash in the pot and firebox, but nothing absurd for a mix of hard/soft wood pellet. Good pellet and good price! I would use this pellet again anytime!

Dirty burn have to shut stove off after a day can't burn longer. They have gone downhill for me time to find a new brand. Burn pot fills up lots of dirty ash. Window gets dirty fast. Have a England stove works 55-SHP-22

I have burned these pellets for five years and I won't buy them again. I agree with all the peoples comments that the bags are full of dust and they burn up quickley and the heat value is less. I don't know what they changed but they are terrible.

Third year using New England Pellets issues:
1). great deal of dust when taking pellets out of the bag.
2). Window on my Harman P68 get dirty right away.
    3). heat output seems less.

We have a Quadrafire Mt. Vernon insert that is a really great stove. This is the fourth year that we are burning New England pellets exclusively, and it will be the last. The difference in these pellets this year is extremely awful. The lack of heat and the incredible amount of ash is astounding. We started burning in late October with 4 1/2 tons on hand and at the rate they are burning up, we will not make it through the end of February. We normally would have almost a ton left over at the end of the season. Certainly not the pellets we used to get and we won't gamble on them again.

I have a Harman P68, I have burned New England Pellets for the past three years. This year these pellets are the worst. I am gettling clinkers in the burn pot, lots and lots of ash, and the glass is always dirtly. I burned a couple of bags of barefoot just to make sure it was the crappy pellets and not the stove. Barefoot burned great, lots of heat, no clinkers to speak of and low ash. I will not buy New England Pellets again.

I have a harman and have always burnt Barefoot and loved them. I let my neighbor talk me into ordering a ton of these last year in order to split the delivery cost. We only used a few bags to get us through a few chilly spring evening and did not start to seriously burn them until this fall. Low heat output, burns dirty, klinkers which I never had and I need to clean the stove 2 - 3 more often. I will not order these again.
