I often wonder about online reviews. People selling other brands can post and say that NEWP suck. Like the post about finding nails and screws and other debris in the bag of NEWP. Really?? The ONLY way that got in there was from a disgruntled employee.

I tried the Vermont Pellet and was not happy. It was very dirty, black soot and big clinkers in my burn pot. After reading the reviews on the Vermont pellet I expected a much better burn. My stove burns 24-7 when its under 45 outside and I only like to clean my stove once a week. The New England pellet was much better for me, nice heat, clean burn and clean burn pot.

hi i got a quadfire classic bay. I got 5 tons this year with no issues, but i have say that some of the pellets were cut long, vs others. They burnt pretty good overall, limited saw dust and ash, but the more you burn the more ash you create. I think this issue the above user had was you need to clean more frequently.

like a lot of the comments on NEWP I have found this years pellet to be significantly below par compared to previous burnings. When I first installed our stove I experimented with every locally available producer to find the 'right' pellet... NEWP was the one, but this year the pot is filling with clinkers, the glass is black and the heat just isn't there. I thought perhaps is was just a bad batch and tried a second delivery with no luck...

I have Harman Advance stove, I'm on my second season using New England pellets.I burn about 3 tons a year. Never had a problem with the pellets. pretty much low ash and the stove burns real hot. My stove runs 24 hours a day 7 days a week. I do not use oil to heat my house, just for the hot water, and that will soon change. that should tell you something. The key is to keep your stove clean and the pellets will do the rest. (THANKS NEW ENGLAND PELLETS FOR KEEPING MY HOUSE WARM)

I will never use New England again due to all the fines and all the ash. I will stick with Cubex

I've owned my Harman Advance for 9 years and clean weekly and have it service ever year.

I have been burning an average of 6 tons of pellets a year since 1998 with my Whitfield Advanced Plus stove. I switched on my second season to New England pellets in the winter of 99 and have been very happy with their pellets. I have had over the years a few bad lots of pellets from them and found that if I run my stove on 3 or higher for an extended time the burn pot would encrust with foul material, (clinkers) and have to shut the stove down to clean. However over the years I have found a way I can completely eliminate this from happening by reducing my stove settings to 1 for about 30 minutes every day. This allows any build-up from ever beginning to form and only have to shut the stove down once a week for a good vacuuming. I rated New England pellets a 4 on a scale from 1 to 5, but could very easily had rated them a 5 with my burning experience.

I used New England Pellets for the last 5 years... this year they must have done something different with the pellets. The burn and smell is different. They irritate our eyes and noses. Much dryer air created and you could smell them burning. Unlike in past years,it was always a clean burn and no irritation to our eyes.

we bought a ton of these and I thought our stove was broken. No heat at all, the stove kept going out and the auger got jammed constantly. I took 1/2 a ton back and tradded for something else. The 8 bags I have left over are just junk. we siftrd through a bag and found alot of debris (Wood chip, nails etc.) Save your money!

I have a Quadrafire stove, I have used new england pellets the last 4 yrs. they worked fine untill this yr. lots of ash & more clean up. Not much heat. I though there was something rong with my stove, untill I bough a ton of stove chow from HD. What a difference the stove burned much hotter & with a lot less ash. I will try not to use NE pellets again!
