No issues so far, burning them in a Harman PF100 furnace found them at Home Depot on early buy sale with military discount

I had these pellets before & they seemed to burn really good, the only thing is I can't ever find them again.... My zip is 08027 & I was wondering if you would be able to tell me about a distributor that is close by?
    Thanks,
    C. Taylor

Something went wrong with Stove Chow pellets last year and it was never corrected. I live in thorthern N.J. They burn very poorly; leaves an unburnable clump in my burnpot. I have to clean it after every few hour burn.

Stove chow are the best pellets I have purchased for my Whitfield Quest stove. I bought them last year from Home Depot but they did not sell them this year but did sell an inferior brand. Where can I purchase them in the Zip code 14225 area.

i have an england stove, new 4 mthsw ago. i buy stove chow from home depot. i get it because my co. as a bonus for the wrk im currently doing buys me 10 bags. if i had to buy it i wouldn't. it doesnt burn completely, the bags have lots of powdered pellets. 1 in 10 will have a 1/4 of a bag of just pellet dust.i have to shovel the burn pot every couple hours or it just keeps piling up with half burnt pellets. over all i think they are a poor quality pellet, nowhere near what home depot claims them to be or, what the bag claims.

Reading Joe P's troubles comfirms my suspicions. I just got off the phone with Home Depot trying to convince them that something is wrong with their Stove Chow pellets. Hi have have been on the wrong track all winter thinking that I was having an air flow problem with my Englander stove. After taking it apart and cleaning everthing I could, my burn pot would still clog up after only a few hours. When Home Depot replaced the stove Chow with Pres-to-Logs, my stove is working like new again. Home Depot is going to haave to stand behind their product and stop saying that no one else is complaining.

I guess your stove has a lot to do with it..The Chows
burn as hot or hotter than the Premium Energex hardwoods. Have a Harman P61A which will also burn corns, oats etc..
The Stove chows are distributed by Energex of which I have burned a few ton..They also seem to have more burning time...Bought at Home Depot in Levittown. 229.00 ton...Ash seems to be clumpy but no more ash than the Energex. No problem with clinkers either so as I said, all stove must burn different to a degree...

I burned 3 ton of Stove Chow in 2012 without many problems, this year I've already burned 1.5 ton. This year (2013) I can't seem to get my airflow in tune. I've tried everything, several combinations of airflow/feed settings, including the Stove's factory settings. It seems burn more consistent with a higher feed setting, about 2.5 lbs per hour on my lowest heat setting, but I'm burning way too much fuel, and its burning dirty, so dirty I decided to shut it down and check the exhaust. I found a a lot of fly ash (Yes, I performed my annual cleaning/service before the start of the season)! I wonder if the pellet's moisture content is too high and/or Home Depot sold me left over pellets from last year. I store my pellets indoors, in a dry area, maybe Stove Chow just plain SUCKS!

I bought 5 bags of another brand (Presto-logs), reset my stove to factory settings, and they're burning perfectly over the last 72 hours. They're burning clean with Low ash. Looks like a permanent fuel change for this guy! I guess I'll just have to blend half ton of stove chow with a better brand so it doesn't go to waste.
