inferno wood pellets are the worst pellets i have used.i thought i would give them a try because they were sold at a local home building center and i normally travel an extra 10 miles to get my pellets. The inferno pellets burn with FAR LESS HEAT than any other pellet i have used and MAJOR CLINKERS.i have to clean out my burn pot every day,its full of garbage.my stove is clean i clean it 1-2 times a week so its not a dirty stove issue.i will never waste my money on this trash again and i hope this post helps someone else from wasting their money on this trash.

GARBAGE, GARBAGE! I bought these pellets out of curiosity. We knew the former owners of Narragansett and loved their pellets until this new company Inferno took over. Their pellets are garbage, low heat high ash and pieces of garbage in the ash, metal shards etc. We are meticulous about the maintenance of our stove, so it's definitely the pellets. Buyer be aware, these pellets are not good for your stove. But that's just one humble opinion

Like most people there is always something to complain about. What most people don't say is how they maintain there stove's. If your car runs ruff do you complain to GM,or Ford, or Honda? No it's called a tun up or simple maintence. Due you this if you called BP, EXXON, and complained that the gas was bad they would listen? Think twice as Inferno states they stand behind there product, unlike most that sell dreams..........

I have burned Inferno pellets for three years now. I put together a list of people and we buy them all together to get the best price we can. Last year we purchased 35 ton and not one of us had any issues with the quality of the pellets. The 2 years prior the quality was excellent also. we all clean our stoves once a week. A clean stove is a happy stove. We will be putting our order in with inferno again this year with out a doubt.

First year with my MT VERNON AE insert and for lack of knowledge "rookie" I purchased 3 tons of these. What a disappointment and I wish I have read this comments prior to purchasing bc I thought it was normal of my auger kept jamming and the stove shutdown..it wasn't until I was given another brand of pellets to try and I noticed the big difference in BTU,ASH CONTENT and Cleaningness of stove...
So free to who ever wants them I have approx 1/2 ton left of these crappy pellets..

ABSOLUTE JUNK!!!!, I bought a ton from TSC last winter and they seemed pretty good so I bought a ton this year, the ash is incredible and I have to clean my 4yr old stove every day!!, They leave a chunk of crap in the burn pot after 4-5 hours. I don't know what it is but it's like sap or something. Buyer Beware Stay away from this pellet co. Bruce B.

We are using Inferno pellets. We have had 6-7 stove pipe fires in the pipes running from our stove to the chimney. We use an Englander pellet stove 25-PDVP that we have had 13 years, worked great, their customer help line is great. We have never had stove pipe fires before; the inside of our stove is glassy with creosote now. We put in a new chimney liner, have replaced the exhaust motor, have had the chimney sweep out, our computer readout is fine. Help please.

We bought a ton of Inferno pellets 10 days ago from our local hardware store, and started to burn them We own a Harman XXV and have never had a problem with it, we have it serviced yearly, clean it weekly, etc. While burning Inferno pellets, our stove would continually shut off completely. I resorted to changing the feed from 4 to 6 just to keep it running. We also had a green based flame with a dull orange in it and it was also a very small flame. I found almost no heat from these pellets as I had to set the stove to 90 and after 3 hours the room the stove is actually in only reached 75.

In filling the hopper with Inferno pellets for the last time, I actually picked out pellets that had green plastic in them, as well as paint chips. I bagged those and brought them to the store where I had purchased the ton, and was given a full refund for the remaining 42 bags. I also had a ton of "clinkers" that would not break apart even when stepped on! They were like little melted balls of plastic, which would also explain the green flame we were getting.

The first few days of burning, 3 members in our household became ill, coughing, runny noses, headaches, and went to the Dr's and were put on antibiotics, which after 7 days of treatment (while burning the Inferno)didn't seem to be working.

Yesterday, we cleaned the stove out completely of Inferno pellets and residue and loaded with Okanagan Pellets. The heat is amazing, not one clinker, bright flame (no odd colors, stove has not shut off with feed back down to 4 and the 3 ill members woke up this morning with NO SYMPTOMS. Could just be a coincidence.

But I will never purchase Inferno Pellets again.

I have had an Englands Stove Works Inc. Stove for 15years and never have had a problem with the pellets we used. UNTIL NOW...we purchased the Inferno wood pellets in Jan. 2012 and there has been nothing but problems. The auger has jammed up constantly (now it must be replaced) the stove shuts off constantly. For 15 years, with other pellets, we have never been fearful of leaving the house with the stove on...NOW WE ARE. Today, 02/08/2012, I bought back the remaining pellets to Big Y where I purchased them. But now what do I do about an auger that is not working properly or a starter that was constantly shutting off? I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND INFERNO pellets, had we known what would happen we, of course , would have stayed away from Inferno. And I do clean my stove twice a month!
