(186 votes)

Barefoot is a superior low ash pellet. These pellets are manufactured from clean sawdust and other clean lumber materials from cabinets, hardwood flooring, etc. from woods such as cherry, maple, white/red oak & walnut. This pellet is smaller in diameter and offers high BTUs. The Barefoot facilities are located in Troy, Pa. They are consistent from batch to batch and has very few fines.

  • Barefoot Wood Pellets are exceptional because of the quality and the cleanliness of the raw material used to make pellets.
  • Barefoot Pellets are made with clean sawdust and other clean wood waste material primarily generated in the manufacturing of hardwood lumber into various wood products such as kitchen cabinets, hardwood flooring, etc.
  • Barefoot Pellets utilize sawdust from a variety of hardwood species from the renewable & sustainable forests of Pennsylvania and New York. These species include Cherry, Maple, Red Oak, Hickory, Walnut, and White Oak.
  • Barefoot Pellets are independently tested periodically and meet the standards for super premium pellets as established by the Pellet Fuel Institute.
  • Barefoot Pellets have superior low ash content due to the quality of the hardwood raw material used.
  • Barefoot Pellets are extremely efficient in terms of low emissions, clean burning and high heat.
  • Barefoot Pellets are protected from moisture by our bag hoods which cover all shipments of pellets to our distributors.

Additional Info

  • Admin Review: Sept: 2017 - In the stove right now and just firing up. These pellets have always been a really great pellet from years past. I have not burned them in over 3 years but by the looks of them they still look good.
Sept: 2017 - Very nice and hot burn. Pellets are good and dense. I received a 23lb bag and it burned nice! Minor tending to the burn pot was needed 2 times to simply push out some ash build up. Not bad at all and the really high heat output outweighed the effort.

Very little dust when putting into our Harmon XXV. I generally clean stove and glass once or twice a day but have very little ash to deal with. We burn 3 ton every winter. Tried a Maine-made pellet last year [$1.50 per bag cheaper] but the dust, ash and clinkers were terrible. We will stick with Barefoot for sure!

Avalon Astoria stove. These pellets burn great, low ash, and the glass stays clean longer. However I paid $6 a bag for them and for a little under $4 a bag I can get a cheaper pellet that burns just as hot for me although I have to deal with a little more ash. For me it's a no brainer..I'll burn the cheaper one and save quite a bit over the course of the winter. This stove seems to be able to burn anything and have never had an auger clog or clunkers.

Great heat, very consistent low amount of fines, low ash, clean burning, very little soot while igniting. Watch out for clinkers. My stove, Lopi Pioneer Bay

These pellets burn great in my Westpoint stove. High heat output, clean burning, hardly any fines and not one auger jam after burning 4 tons.
