I have a Harmon XXV and have burned 6 to 7 ton of Fireside Ultra Wood pellets per year and have found that they are the best that I have found. Only clean my stove every month and have very little ash. I would recommend them to anybody.Report
We love Fireside Ultra pellets they burn clean and we have had no problem with them at all! We have a Quadra-Fire...best pellets we have used so far....this stove is new but we had another stove before this and really get our moneys worth with the Fireside pellets and we burn it mostly on low, sometimes medium, but have never had it on high at all.....thanks for making such a reliable source of heat....Report

looking for free ton of wood pellet fuel [ monthly drawings]Report
I just went through about a weeks worth of these pellets...... Terrible. Never Again. I actually had to fish out wood chips as I was filling up the back of my stove, so I can say in nearly 10 years of using my stove, these were the worst yet. I clean my burn pot out daily, but I still had to completely clean every inch of my stove yesterday, so I could go back to burning "normal" pellets, as these left everything caked in black soot.Report
I've burned a lot of different brands in my 2 England stoves (Lowes) for 5 years. Since these stoves are designed poorly, I usually have to shut them down and clean them every 48 hours to keep the ash buildup to a minimum. By chance I bought Fireside pellets last month and was awestruck how much longer they'd burn with higher heat output, and minimal ash. After 48 hours, barely any more ash than the firepot area, and a clean window glass (very unusual with these stoves). Wish I could buy more now but they're sold out. I usually run my stoves at a low setting as that's all that's needed. One problem I did have with them, they burn kind of clumpy so they do build up residue at the end of the auger opening. I take a large screwdriver and tap the chunky residue with a hammer, it pops right off, then I vacuum the stove. It's easy to clean the fire window with a paper towel and a squirt of Spray Nine Fireview Premium glass cleaner after first vacuuming it.Report
I have run 4 tons of Fireside Ultra through my St Croix Prescott stove so far this heating season which I purchased at local Home Depot in Bellingham MA. They have been fantastic in my stove which I typically run 24/7 for 3-4 days at a time usually on the #3 setting. There is a grey-white soot on glass and ash in the pan and stove which cleans up easily. There is no plugging of the burn pot and black soot build up on glass as I have had with several other brands including Lignetics and Green Team which I have to shut stove down after about 24 hours to clean it out.
My problem now is Home depot is out of Fireside Ultra and I cannot locate a local dealer near zip 01757 that carries them. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Ash content is insane. Stove needs to be cleaned every 3-4 days. Could easily go a week with other pellets I've burned such as Okanagan.Report
The fireside Ultra are some of the dirtiest pellets I have burned. Easily four times the ash content. Also they produce hard buildup in the burn pot.
