I prefer these over the other brand the Depot carries, Stove Chow. Smaller pieces, lighter in color, smell better, ash not as cakey, and produces more heat. I also prefer them over O'Malley and GreenTeam as well. Still want to try Hamers and Lignetics before I buy a ton or more.Report
Hi im Dan from Middleboro,Ma I have a 2002 Enviro e5 stove i bought two bags of the fireside ultra from home depot taunton,ma cause ive had a problem burning some other brands of pellets and they were wet moist or something totally crap until i bought these bags they burn so efficientally i have very little ash i love it i will be going to stock up on these babies THANKS MUCH DANReport
I have purchased your products many times in the past and have always been happy until today when I found large pieces of wood in the bag that would have caused significant damage to my stove if not immediately seen .
I just purchased a new pellet stove for a significant amount of money and if this were to get clogged in my router it would have caused serious damage therefore I will not buy your products again .
Worst pellets I have ever put in my Harman P68!!! I returned tem to Home Depot. The entire interior of my stove has a coating of heavy black soot. They smell like plastic burning and do not heat well. The only plus was they are low in ash! I will never buy these again.Report
The Fireside Ultra pellets I just bought (15 bags) have much more wood dust mixed with the pellets than I've ever seen compared to all the other brands of pellets I've used. The pellets are also in smaller pieces and more broken than other brands I've used.Report
I burned green team I found myself dusting my living room every other day, but after I found fireside ultra no dust, burns well low ash great product would use again. thank you for thinking about housewives. LOLReport
I own a Harman P68. I have burned several tons of Green Supreme, Green Team, Maine's Choice, Maine Wood Pellet, and now Fireside Ultra. The Fireside is inexpensive and may heat okay. However, they are by far the worst pellet due to high ash, creosote build up in my stove, and soot in the flue. I have another 2 1/2 tons to suffer through. I'm never purchasing these nasty pellets again.Report
If i see these at HD I scoop them up quickly. They are the best the big box stores sell and at the price you get them at they are great! Good heat and low ash for 250 a ton.Report
Fireside Ultra. Best there is. PeriodReport
Last year I tried several brands of US made pellets and have not find one that is as good as Fireside Ultra. They burn long and hot and tend to be low on dust. I dusted less often with your pellets. I am saddened that you will no longer be delivering at the HomeDepot store in Waterville, Maine. Since I am a single women in my 70's I buy the bags 10 at a time every week and more during the cold weather, so that I can move them by myself on a dolly to the house. I do not travel far so this was so convenient for me since I live in Waterville. . Will miss using your pelletsReport
