I burn these in my harmon p68. I buy from HD, they normally get a shipment of something else first, like maines choice. I can normally burn a ton before cleaning out my ash pan. I like them and have bought them three straight yearsReport
I bought two pallets of Fireside Pellets. It does not say if they are hardwood or softwood or mixed.Report
I burned 4 ton of these last season. No clinkers and I mean none and hardly any ash. I just loaded the basement with 8 ton for next season. I have a VistaFlame VF170 and an Enviro Mini. Made by the same manufacturer. These stoves go 4 days without cleaning.Report
Fireside ultras work well in my Englander 25-pdvc.
Have been burning pellets for 5 years.
These are one of the best economy pellets.
Whenever HD has them I grab them.
Regarding folks who complain about sooting and clinkers, I find my burn settings have more to do with these issues then the pellets often times.
When its cold and the stove is working hard soot and ash is minimal.
When it's warmer and the stove is loafing along I get black soot and clinkers.
I use them they are the best when the store is out I try what they have and leave the controls on stove the same and my house cools down a lot I drive one way over 5o miles to get themReport
Quadrafire Castile Stove Fireside pellets bought at Home Depot: These pellets leave a ton of ash and the flame height is considerably smaller than other pellets we have used. I will not buy these again and if I can get other pellets I will return them.Report
I have an Englander insert. I vacuum it out daily and deep clean monthly. I work at a Home Depot in Maine and have tried about every brand, at least a dozen, that shows up in the store...I always go back to Fireside Ultra. It consistently burns the hottest and cleanest of all the brands I've tried. I have run into bags that were high in fines or that caused clinkers, but, overall, the Fireside is the best I've tried. My pellet stove has replaced baseboard heat as my homes primary heating source and I burn an average of 4 ton a year...It's been 5 ton to date this year...tough winter.Report
