Pellets are fine, bags are not. Many, many of the bags have split open along the side seam near the top of the bag. This is a big problem for me, I have lost a lot of pellets due to the split.Report

I have a Harman Accentra-2 and have used several different brands of pellets. I like these fireside ultra the best. I do clean the burn pot daily and do a further cleaning at least once a month or so.
I will certainly buy these pellets again. Good product.
A visitor on my website emailed me and said that they spoke with the Energex rep who mentioned they are 60% softwood and 40% hardwood and they verified they are the manufacturers of the Fireside Ultras.Report
I purchased 6 tons of pellets from home depot. I want to know whta type of pellets are in the bag .
HARD WOOD OR BLENDED . The bag does not have tis information on it. Home depot says it is hard wood but I don't belive salesperson. I am using a brand new breakwell p2001 stove. I am getting alot of ash and what looks like lava rock build up in the ash pot.Can you give me some infor. THANKS
I live in central maine who sells fireside in my areaReport
These are probably the dirtiest pellets I've burned in my Harman p61a over the last six years. My p61a is a pretty tolerant stove as well. These pellets leave the most clinkers that I have ever encountered. In addition, the soot/ash is black instead of gray. I bought six tons of them because of the great HD price and positive reviews. That said, I probably won't buy them again due to rapid clinker formation and abundant black soot. Heat is OK but not that great on cold MA days.Report
Has anyone else noticed formation of solids, almost like lava rocks when using Fireside Ultra? This is the first time we have seen it!Report
I find Fireside Ultra pellets to be longer burning and higher BTU output then others I have tried. It seems to be cleaner burning as well. I clean out my stove every 3 days and have found lower ash content in the stove then some of the others I have tried. I found these by accident and I'm glad I did.Report
