Additional Info

  • Admin Review: Oct 2014: High heat, low ash and great looking bag that is solid and thick. What else do you want from a pellet. These pellets burned great so they are absolutely added to the "best" list.
Nov - 2017 - High heat, low ash and great looking bag that is solid and thick. What else do you want from a pellet. This year the ash was just a slight bit higher but still very low. The smell was great and the pellets were really dense. Great heat and overall a very nice pellet. I'm going to add them to the best list.

Nice pellet. High heat, low ash and no haze on window after three days of burning. 4.19 per bag or 179 a ton from TSC. Going to get more for the rest of the season. Stove: Savannah Westpoint cleaned daily of ash, window as needed.

This is first year I've used AWF pellets. I consider myself a journeyman pellet burner by now. Been so for 14 plus years. I use Harman XXV and P43 pellet stoves. Low ash and VERY good heat output from this pellet although too many fines in each bag. Will use another brand next year.

I purchased 2 tons of these thinking I purchased ligistics (which I was very happy with)well out of 10 bags my auger got stuck with a piece of wood. Fixed that problem quickly but 4 days later a klunk and stove shut down like it should. Looked up to correct problem it took a whole day for my insert to be pulled out from wall to find a big chuck of wood that jammed my auger tight. Called the store where I bought them from and told them I had these 3years ago and they were terrible would they take them back the reply was yes but at another 60.00 to p/u the rest of 2 tons. I have to screen all the bags for wood pieces. The rest of the bag had slivers of wood my grandchildren and I picked out. I was told I could strain all my bags. I should be putting up Christmas decoration or baking cookies with my grandchildren not picking through pellets. Very Very unhappy

I burned approximately a half ton of these last season in my Whitfield stove. Burned very hot and had moderate to high ash. I wouldn't hesitate to buy them again, just not my favorite pellet yet.

I purchased a ton of this American Wood Fibers and it is nothing but cardboard and burns way to fast. I thought it was the same as last years that I got from Home Depot but not. Stove is a Heatilator 35000 btu after burning 10 bags we had to dimantle the stove to clean it.

I have an Englander 2200 that I bought last season. I burned 20 bag of these last year. The price was great and they burned slower then the bags of soft wood okanagan's I burned. I noticed little difference maybe less ash with the soft wood but it wasn't that much of a difference. I couldn't find these this year I have a few bags left in the garage from last season. Bought 12,000 pounds of Green Supreme waiting for the weather for cool. Had the stove on one morning this season but that was two weeks ago.

I own a Englander 2200 Sq ft Pellet stove. American wood fiber Pellets are inconsistant I bought a ton at the beginning of the year loved the heat from pellets but high ash! I bought a second ton at Tractor Supply. Still high ash but the heat wasnt there! a little disapointed in the difference. I probably will do some more research for next year before buying another ton!

I have a Harman PF100 and have had no problems with PFW pellets, bought them at early season sell at Lowes $189 a ton and then 10% off with military discount. The only negative I found is that they are dusty out of the bag, but I will buy again at the right price.

I have an Avalon Astoria and this is my 2nd year burning wood pellets. I've burned every type of wood pellets I can find that are under $5 a bag and most are $4. I've noticed almost no difference in any of them. I clean the stove about every 3 days and never adjust it. This brand burns as well as any other and the price is right.
