I have a Harmon pellet insert for my fireplace for the last six years and have had no problems. I clean it out once a month and normally would empty the ash container every two and maybe three weeks. These are far and awayway the worst pellets I have ever had. I need to empty the ash container every two days after only two bags of pellets. Before it was 15 to 20 bags.

I have Whitfield Adavantage II and burned pellets for the last 11 years. I religiously use and am pleased with Hamer. Occassionally, I will use Lignetics and haven't had any significant problems with them. I'm glad I came across this site, because currently there is a pellet shortage in the northeast. However, Power pellets seem to be somewhat available, but I will avoid them thanks to this site.

Powerhouse pellets are No good. I use a Harman Advance pellet stove which I take apart and clean regularly Powerhouse pellets smoke up my glass and produce a lot of ash. I wish I read the reviews first before I purchased 3 ton, I like Green Team, no smoked glass and Very little ash. burns very hot. I have to turn down the auger setting because very hot and efficient. I bought 3 ton and hope they are the same quality as last year. I hope this helps u decide what to buy.

I have a stove for 5 years and have used Lowe's for four however I tried Powerhouse this year, BIG MISTAKE they fill up the grate with ash and the stove shuts down I have adjusted the damper and still doesn't work right. I wil NEVER buy these again Lowe's Green team Supreme are ALOT better.though they cost more.

I am new to the pellet community. My home was all electric and thought pellets was the way to go. In a cost comparision I believe I made a great choice however my choice in Pellets was lacking. I purchased 3 tons of Powerhouse simply because it was 200 a ton. After recently having to purchase another ton and decided to go to lowes I now learned there is a massive difference in quality. I was cleaning my stove every 3 days with powerhouse and noe I am cleaning once a week. Not to mention the pellets burn much better. I will not purchase powerhouse again and would not recommend them either

I've used a pellet stove for 15 years now. These pellets are garbage. By far the most ash of any I have ever burned. Spend a few more dollars.

I wish I would've seen this forum before I bought these pellets and now I too am stuck with a ton of garbage. I have tried adjusting the damper consistently and the burn pot keeps caking up.
My advice steer clear from these pellets they are by far the worst ones I've purchased.

Tried Powerhouse pellets for the first time this year. I have been burning pellets for 12 years in my Whitfield Adv. Plus This is by far the worst pellet I have ever used. I am cleaning the pot 3 times a week or the pot backs up. Now I'm stuck with 2 tons of junk.

I have 2 Quuadra Fire 1200 Classic pellet stoves. The last few years I have been using Lignetics and had to clean the fire pot once a week. Now with Powerhouse I have to clean it every 3 or even 2 days.

Another pellet manufacturer to avoid because of too many fines is PA Pellet. The hardwood blend is good but the fines are a real issue. I have a Harman P61 for know my 14th year of burning pellets and i do consider myself a seasoned veteran burning pellets.
