sierra pellets put golden fire to shame. The sierras are head and shoulders above them. The golden fire always clogs up stove, not so with sierras. Now of course i cant find them.Using a castle stove, really good stove.

Lowe's had an end of the season sale for a ton. I burn Bear Mountain and Golden Fire typically and I can see/feel no significant gains/losses. With the mark down, I paid $4.15 a bag. It's Douglas Fir so it's not like you are going to go terribly wrong either way. Check out They're made in Shelton, WA.

We really liked the less ash and more heat. Had 30 bags left from last year, can not find Sierra Supreme Wood Pellets in my area this year.
