Same pellets as Still River. Same trash. So much dust I had to use a screen to separate it . They burn filthy and the glass turns black in a few minutes . Heat output is trash.
These shouldn’t even be allowed to be sold.
Made by Eastford wood fiber.
Stay away from them, plug stove with saw dust. They will not compensate those of us that bought several ton last year and are still suffering. Every bag must be
screened and owner will not help or answer email sent to him. Was promised last fall they would reduce the price but am now told the person who I talked to is
no longer there. How strange.
I’ve never had a problem with my Harmon stove until now! Your pellets are have so much dust in the bag that it’s choking the auger and the stove dies out.
What can you do to help he with this problem ?

Hello folks!! First let me introduce my self as I am the Plant Manager for Blackstone Wood Pellets. We very much appreciate the feedback from customers whether it is good or bad. Positive feedback lets us know what we are doing well, and the negative lets us know if we have a problem we may need to address. In reading the below posts I noticed the main complaint was an issue with “fines or small bits” in the bag. We do apologize for the problems and take the issue very seriously.
Unfortunately last year we received a defective “die” that failed to compress the wood pellet properly. We did find the issue last year as a result of our in-house quality control process and outside testing which is done independently by the University of Maine and corrected the issue. We made every effort to quarantine the suspect product that was produced and swap out what was in the market. We apologize to anyone who may have received this product and hope that you will give our product another chance moving forward.
Thank you,
J Tanner

looking for still river pellets , live in Brimfield, MA please advise
Gotta say that im taken back by the comments regarding the quality and performance of these pellets. I have had great success with these so far. I have a QUADRAFIRE MT. VERNON stove and burn great. All stoves perform different so the story goes!!!
Horrible amounts of sawdust and tiny pieces. So much so that the pellets will not settlee to the bottom of the hopper,
I run a Harman Accentra stove, which I have had for 10 years. Over the years I have not had a problem with pellets feeding. I bought Blackstone Premium Hardwood Pellets and began to have problems with them. The packaging claims to have 0.05% fines, yet my stove was not feeding because of sawdust blocking up the hopper. Sawdust is visible in the bag when you open it. I had a service call done on the stove and the tech told me the fines were blocking the feeder. I now have to sift the pellets before adding them to the hopper. This helps, but there are smaller bits, larger than a fine, that also block the feeder. Unfortunately I am stuck with 2 tons of these pellets, which will have to be sifted before use. Needless to say, I am not happy with Blackstone pellets. Buy a few bags and try them out before buying 2 tons ike I did.
So far very disappointed, every bag I’ve had to pre screen to remove all fines.
Good Morning I’m interested in learning more about your pellets. I live locally here in Connecticut. I live in Columbia. I’m interested in buying 20 tons. Could you please contact me. My cell phone # 860-942-1573. My name is Glenn Keegan.
