Review of Cubex Wood Pellets
Oct 2014: These are still one of my all time favourite pellets! This years run I’m seeing incredibly low ash but I do have to scrap the burnpot every morning to get the slight ash build-up down into the ash pan. The heat output is incredible and I will trade a little extra work for the added heat.
Nov-2017Just got done with a bag and these get a thumbs up! Very nice and dense pellet which gives off great heat. The ash was not bad and the heat was very nice.

we have used cubex pellets and have found them to burn clean heat well and produce low ash as described on the bags. Several people we know also use Cubex and have the same results. Also we have not experienced any fowl odors of any kind while burning.
We have been burning cubex pellets for a few years today our stove stopped so we starting checking what was wrong Ang there was a rock jammed in the feeder and the rock 100% had to have been in the bag of pellets when we dumped them in the hopper .I hope something can be done about this
Thank You
This is the first year We have used a pellet stove. I chose Cubex because to close friends of mine have used this brand for years with nothing but rave reviews. We burned 1 ton in our energy star home and found no issues with black smoke odor or any adverse problems. We own a Harmon Accentra 52I-TC pellet insert and the stove worked flawlessly. My friends also have Harmon stoves and they had no issues either this year 2017-2018. We have a 2000 sq ft home all electric and the stove heated the whole house on just 1 ton of pellets. As I said we built an (energy star home in 1998 and have registration number with the dept. of energy in Washington DC. My electric bills for the winter averaged $75 a month.
I have a Whitefield Profile 30 Pellet Stove. l have burned Cubex Extra for 3 years now. I was happy the first 2 years. This year something has changed. After a few bags the whole stove was full of black, oily, toxic smoke. l had to exhaust the whole house. The inside of the stove was full of black, oily smoke/grease and the pot was clogged up. The same thing happened a few days/ bags later. I am afraid to leave the stove unattended now when I am away. The dealer swapped out about 40 bags with a new batch. So far the new ton burns ok, but LI still get the occasional black, greasy film on the glass and inside of the stove. I sent an email to Cubex several weeks ago, but they never responded. That is disappointing. I tried to give them a second chance. l will be looking for a different brand for next years heating season.

I have a quadrafire MT Vernon E2 stove and they burn great.
Have burned them for past 2 years. Have tried many brands and find cubex burns the bests , good heat, no chemical smell, light in color , has a fresh wood smell. Size is perfect. Fines close to zero. Stove can stay cleaner much longer . I clean my stove more regular than i have too by choice..
I have tried both Hardwood Pellets, softwood pellets and mixes. Cubex and Lo-gic pellets i found to be the best.
This years pellet is the best ever in the past five years. With only one year that I got a bad ton. The size is perfect. The fines are close to zero. The heat is great. The usual amount of baked crud in the burn pot. Cheaper this year than ever too. I’d buy a truckload if I had the room. Agway in North Haverhill NH.
I have a Harman Accentra. I buy about two ton of Cubex pellets each year. Last years had a chemical odor but burned well. This years do not have the odor but do not burn well..More black ash and I have to clean burn box more often and seems like less heat. I also burn two to three ton of other brands and do not have any problems…no more cubex
we have tried 5 different brands to figure out which we want to use- Cubex is the clear winner!!
We live in the woods with no electricity- we use a Wiseway
Some people seem to BASH this product with bad reviews, which makes it rather obvious that they’ve got nothing better to do than complain. I’ve burned Cubex Pellets religiously for the past 6 years. I live up in the North Country of Vermont and have tried many brands of Pellets, which none have produced the same amount of heat. Sure your going to get ash and have to clean your stove. But don’t you have to do that anyway ? The short of it is…..the Pellets don’t load themselves into your stove, so while your up scrape the dam burn pot and clean your stove. Cubex Wood Pellets are great, great heat, outstanding performance. I demand my stoves to heat my house and expect a little maintenance weather it be daily, weekly or Monthly.
Stop Bitch’n and recognize a good product when you see it please….!
