Good and terrible…
I tried 2 bags of 6 different companies with my new Harmon Accentra. The Green Supreme burned really well with not a ton of ash and decent heat. The price was not bad at Lowes. I just bought a second ton on 1/24/22 and they were much darker color pellets than the first ton. Also the bags were damp on the outside of the the bags. They are junk!! At least four times the ash and not great heat. I had a few bags left from the first ton and alternated bags with a huge difference. Bringing them back to Lowes. Pain in the ….

Good burn, quite a bit of ash
Just tried a fresh bag of the Green Supreme Northeastern Blend by Lignetics from Home Depot. These are a hardwood/softwood blend. They seemed to burn real well but more ash than some of other brands. One 40 lb bag almost filled a 16oz red solo cup to about an inch from the top of the cup. Other brands were about half of a 16 oz cup. Fines in the bag seemed to be about average.

fall 2021 northern vs. Allegheny blend pellets
as every sring, the task of buying a good pellet is a challenge . every brand has it’s ups and downs year to year . the best advice is to try a few bags and see what works best on your stove and then and only then buy a few tons and don’t store them in outside temps covered or not . they will absorb moisture and yield lower btu’s

Ash and Fines are on the high side
Picked up a bag to try from local hardware store. Expensive pellets at $7.29 per bag. Ash and fines were on the high side. Other wise thy seemed to be okay.

Best Pellets
We just purchased our first pellet stove Vogelzang and green Supreme were the pellets we bought. They had something different when we went for more and a friend gave us some. Green Supreme are the best. They burn hotter and cleaner. We really hope they start carrying them again. If not we hope to find someone near us that supplies them.

Seems like the east coast has more problems?
It seems like the eastern blends all seem to be problematic? Maybe the wood quality is just better on the west coast? But the Hood River Douglas Fir blend burns hotter than any other pellet I’ve tried, super low ash and smell good. I’m running them in my QuadraFire CB1200
