I have no pro with this product . when people learn to clean out stove properly at end of season and seal it from the elements off season only then you can move on to the next task . continued in cons section.
Cons
22 years burning pellets and unless you buy two bags and burn them through , you'll never know what your buying . my Whitfield profile 20 stove burns paper white and very hot allowing me to use a quality silent 6 inch in-line fan that smoothly circulates the air in my house from downstairs to upstairs making fairly even temperature possible. a Panasonic 6' in-line fan is the only one to buy and duct it properly . all brand pellets differ year to year except for stove chow , eastern and t.s.c. . they are crap always . do your homework, burn some through and when you find good ones, buy a few tons with the same lot number ti assure your getting the same batch and nothing else . GOOD LUCK
Dirty beyond belief. I have qurda fire pellet stove and never have I had to clean it every two to three days to keep the ash from overflowing the fire box. With just about every other brand it was every 10 to 14 days clean out
Cons
Dirty. Less heat out put of any pellet I have used. They are the dirtiest wood heating pellets I have ever used. I am trying to take them back to Homedepot, but I think they are getting so many back they are trying not to take anymore back. What ever you do, please don't buy these pellets. Worst mistake you can make.
Heaters are the best in my opinion, my stove really enjoys this brand over all the others I have tried. Burns hot with little ash. One bag lasts me 2 days which is great considering my stove runs 24/7 through the winter.
Pros
Burn hot with little ash, one bag lasts me about 2 days keeping the house at 72 degrees.
Cons
Hard to find, our small community had a hard time getting them in and staying in stock. They sale like hot cakes here.
These pellets produce way more ash than they do heat. I have to take apart and vacuum out the stove every day. I bought 20 bags at Ace Hardware because they were the only ones available in my area at the time. I will never use them again. I will have to go to a larger city to get some decent ones. Stay away from Heat'rs if you possibly can.
If you like a 1/4 cup of dirt in every bag these are for you. The fire pot has to be cleaned daily because of the dirt. The product itself might not be bad but the amount of dirt mixed in kills any pro point. I purchased from Home Depot.
These were obviously farmed from burned pine in the White mtn.s Rodeo Chediski fire from early 2000’s, the pellets are charcoal/black in color. It’s shameful to have these for sale to the public.
Horrible product, leaves the ash pot over full with one bag use, also leaves a brick of what looks like lava in the pot, burns extremely fast, blackens the window in the matter of hours, a thourough cleanout of the stove is required after each bag, pellets are too soft, and clogs the auger which in turn kills the heat. I purchased 40 bags, and after using 6 bag have decided to return the rest back to Home Depot.
Pros
Only pro i can see is they are cheap in price compared to Lingnetics, or Golden Fire.
I have used Heaters pellets for years last year I bought another ton. I have been dissatisfied with this ton because it clogged my fire pot. There is something wrong with this ton. I have to use the rest of it this year but won’t chance another ton. Sorry you have had a great product for many years.
