Rip-off Pellets and Rip-off company
After reading reviews, I chose to become a dealer last Nov. 2020. Unfortunately, after being assured they make their pellets on site from quality trees, they actually outsource and the pellets I received were horrible. After being called out on their lies they still would give me no credit. The owner, Tom, told me that sometimes he sells dirty pellets and that’s the way it goes. Also said if I didn’t like it buy pellets elsewhere. STAY AWAY from this chump outfit. I’m going back to Lumberjack…attaboy Big Tom!

They don't cut it, at least in my stove
I started burning with these and burned them for a couple years. I live maybe 10 miles from the factory and like to support local, especially having seen the legal hassles they went through to keep the factory operational and my neighbors employed. But the pellets just weren’t cutting it, at least in my stove where the only adjustment is draft. The glass plugged solid with ash in maybe a half day, which I could deal with. But unless I cleaned and scraped the burn pot every day (2 days if I’m lucky), the pot plugged up solid. The pellets didn’t burn that hot. Not even hot enough for my stove to maintain fire on the lowest heat range, the fire would go out constantly no matter how much I played with the draft. I couldn’t run my stove on thermostat mode they were so finicky. The convection air was only lukewarm no matter what the setting and the stove was maxed out when the temp gets below zero. Sorry Kirtland, I tried to keep it local. I switched to Pro Pellets and was blown away, my stove has been running perfectly since then which has been a few years. I’m at least glad others have had good luck with Kirtland pellets.

Tried many different pellets last year due to the shortfall and cold winter. Really loved Kirtland and am hoping they will be available all winter. This year having a lot of Klinkers though. Not sure why but have to clean them out of the pot everyday. Kirtlands burn cleaner than Pro Pellets. The absolute king of Pellets are Ultra Premium White Pine by American Wood Fiber. Family Farm and Home got them trucked in from Maryland and they were Hot and super clean. Kirtland were second best and as far as Michigan goes, they are the best overall pellet IMO.

Hi CJ, would you mind stating which brand pellets you are talking about ?
I used these pellets last year and they out performed every other brand I tried. They are super clean, super hot and require very little maintenance. I had mine delivered straight from the company; they were a pleasure to work with and dropped them off right in my garage. These pellets are awesome…
Have used these pellets for 2 weeks now and pellet stove is very clean, usually after 5 days glass is dirty burning Michigan Wood Fuel pellets from Holland and Cherry pits are even dirtier. Bought these from Family Farm in Twin Lake, Mi. 7 miles from my house. Wow what a big difference, even told Family Farm (where I Purchased) to keep these in stock, they said they wood pass this on to corperate office, But I thought I would do this myself. Keep selling to Family Farm down here or I will have to find another dealer, if you know of one in Muskegon area.
I’ve burned seven different brands of pellets, I will only burn one brand now after using Kirtland. By far the cleanest and best burning of any out there.
I Like Kirkland pellets when I can get them I live only a half he away from them but no one ever has them!!! I call bs on that locals first!!!
