I have a unit that is 8 years old. If you convert from corn you must change kettle, put on a variable speed auger kit and change the 2 motors that drive the augers, and also put on a kit that equalizes the pressure from the induction fan. I think these units are great. If you need parts Big M Manufacturing from Taylerville, Illinois can answer any questions you have and sell you the parts. Ask for Mel
I have a a maizing heat corn furnace and am looking for assistance and parts. Is this something you can help me with?
I have an older A-Mazing corn boiler…and I burn wood pellets in it.love it Right now It wont kick in from the 1st “timer”(on the start position, feeding pellets to wait for the augers to start), the the second “timer”(on run that keeps the pellets coming in and is regulated by heat) . Any ideas whats going on?

Hi,
I have the Model LDJ991-10 165k BTU Boiler. Within the last 3 days, the boiler has suddenly been unable to keep up the water temperature to 150F which is required to effectively heat the house. Instead, it is able to get up to 120-130F, but can advance no further if the house fan/thermostat is demanding heat. Please note – during the last sub-zero cold snap earlier this winter, it performed admirably – no issue keeping the house warm. Once I turn the house thermostat off, it takes less than 10 minutes to heat the water to 150F. I clean the flues regularly…I cleaned all 16 of them out once this condition presented itself (it had only been 7 days since I cleaned it prior), and still no change. It should be noted, when the system is not experiencing a demand from the house/thermostat, it runs fine, stays on, and goes back on once the temp drops below 150F. Because it cannot ‘meet the demand’, it continually runs, dumping pellets in to burn, though now even at a lower cycle (10-15 seconds on, 15 off during the active cycle), too many pellets are entering the boiler and nearly running over the sides of the boil pot. Looking for advice what I can do to assist you troubleshoot and obviously how to get it back online to heat properly. Thank you.
Best Regards,
Scott Burgess
This is for Joe. John here Joe, I am sorry to say that I lost your ph # and couldn’t get back to you. I hope you remember talking to me, I am the 100% dis-abled Veteran who was seeking advice and parts. You suggested that I fire the boiler up to see if the tank/heat-exchanger had busted from when the pipes froze and busted. Well it fired up, didn’t leak, got hot, but the water wouldn’t circulate so it popped the release valve. Now I need to get the diverter valve and spiro-vent and figure out why the water isn’t circulating. I suspect it has something to do with the water pump control relays.
If you are burning wood pellets in an LDJ you need to get the upgraded pellet Kit, cost about $250, which will prevent most of the smoke from going into the hooper. Call LDJ they will provide you with contact info for your local rep. I just had smoke in the house, did not have enough pellets in hopper and the pot burned low (hopper needs improvement). If you just started the unit it takes several days to get the unit to stabililze correctly. A word of caution, never over feed the unit or add pellets to the top of the burn pot.
I have a problem with the auger from burn pot keeps back feeding and I have pellets all over floor.. 2nd yr burning and this is first. yr this is continously doing it.. the timers are no diffrent from last yr.. I also bought the proper kit to burn wood pellets as well..
hi, check ur chimney draft, should be
between 0.04 to 0.06 water column draft.
There should be a adjustable damper on combustion fan, may want to try shutting it down a little
I just purchased this unit from a craigslist add. I am having issues with it smoking out the house and need to locate some help. Can you provide some guidance?
