Summary
I have not burned these pellets yet and would love to get a bag in the mail for this 2018 season.

I’ve burned about 10 bags of Lignetics so far. The bags are full of fines and dust, so much that I have to pour pellets in slowly.. The stove needs to be cleaned about every 2-3 bags, I’m not sure what “alot” of ash is as I’m kinda new to the game. Overall I’m happy with them, however a friend of mine loves AWF White Pine so I am going to give them a try. These are putting out 185-190 degrees.
Last year I switch from Heaters(Home Depot) to Rocky Mountain(Tractor Supply). With the Heaters I have to clean my stove after every bag. With the Rocky Mountain I had to clean after 3 or 4 bags plus stove gave better heat. My Tractor Supply had Lignetics this year. I purchase a few to see how they worked. First thing I noticed was the bags were a little small but same weight. The pellets were a little darker than the others. After the first burn I actually had clinker in my burn pan. The stove had the new stove smell of hot pain setting(I didn’t think pellet stoves did that). The stove was like I had cleaned it inside except for a little tan powder. I thing I will stick with Lignetics for a while.
I have used Lignetics for many years and this year is some new formula and it is not good. The bag with the green writing on it, I should have known there was going to be an issue. Lots of saw dust in the bag, much more ash. Not to mention the price went up. I don’t know if the other formula is available but when I run out these bags I guess it is time to move on. For this price I can almost get two bags at the big box store of this crap quality! Maybe I can find the old formula somewhere?
Guadra Fire Mt Vernon – compared these to Heatrs, took back 1.5 pallets of Heatrs and bought Lignetics. Lignetics are harder soft wood, very minimal sawdust, they burn cleaner and HOTTER and leave less that 1/5 of 1% ash behind and I rarely have to clean the glass on our stove now. VERY happy with Lignetics and you get more value for your money.
I have a Harman Eccentra stove. I had to use Lignetics pellets because my brand wasn’t available. I hated these pellets! High ash and they turned my window brown with the stain. One bag and I had a tremendous amount of ash building up in the pot. It must be that they burn differently in different stoves I just don’t understand why people say it’s low ash? I couldn’t wait until the five bags that I bought were finished. If my brand became available I would have returned these trash pellets.
I have a Breckwell pellet stove. I have used the Lignetics brand for a long time.
Last year I kinda noticed they weren’t burning as hot nor as clean as in past years. The 2 tons I bought this year are as bad as any crap Walmart sells!
Had my stove cleaned/ serviced in October.
It’s so filthy now 4 months that I have to have it cleaned again and that’s NOT using the stove every day.
They changed something in their pellets, same price but the pellets are pure junk. NEVER AGAIN!
These lignetics pellets are by far the worst pellets I’ve ever used in my stove. As the pellets purn they plug up my stoves ash pot. I’ve tried everything to get these pellets to burn clean through the ash pot with zero success. I hate these pellets. Ive had the same pellet stove for over 10 years and these pellets do the same thing every year. Ive tried getting different brand every year but this is the only thing I can find. Sure you can get softwood pellets but they are a joke for heat. I would not recommend these pellets to anyone. Any brand of pellet that is just ok should be maybe 2.5 stars at best
I typically buy the premium Lignetics pellets but my local store only had Lignetics Gold. Only difference I see between the two is that the Gold has alot more sawdust. Every bag so far has quite alot of sawdust. I have a picture of the sawdust in my stove hopper where the sawdust stops the pellets from sliding down. Happens everytime.
Not a happy customer.
companys makeing these pellets should beware that the costs of pellets are getting out of hand.1 bag of pellets in my area is almost $6.00. 1 bag of pellets equal 2 gallons of propane.which is $1.79.9 per gallon. I enjoy my pellet stove but its become cheaper to turn up thermostat.
This is the first time I’m trying these pellets.
I’m not impressed. They keep clogging on the burn plate and backing up and push the top plate off. The flames then come out the side at the back wall. They smoke a lot.
I won’t purchase these again.
