For my Whitfield Optima 3 (Profile 30) pellet Stove; the igniter called out is 12140213 which the current OEM is Innovative Hearth Products calls H8127; their IHP TECH SUPPORT says my Whitfield Optima 3 Profile 30’s igniter should end 3/4″ up in the igniter tube from the end of the tube. the current new replacement tip – having used up three igniters in three years, they’re all 6″ long 400W 120 V – they end at the igniter tube output hole. Questions are: can you guide me to a shorter igniter ~5.25 inches long an igniter (400 W 120 volts); or, can I just cut off .75″ off of the 6 inch one to 5.25 inch length? The parts manual for the stove are 12140213 or H8127 igniter says it’s 6 inches x 3/8″. Your help would be appreciated in getting a shorter more sustainable igniter.
The pel-pro I bought a year ago still don’t work the way it’s supposed to. I will not recommend this to anyone.. the company doesn’t care. It’s garbage.
sunmountainstoves.com found this company, looks to be top EPA clean burn list.
