Review of Logik-e Wood Pellets
2019 – just got 2 bags to test out. 1 hardwood and 1 softwood bag of pellets. Stay tuned
I have always love these pellets and look forward to my bag every year. It has been harder to find them over here in NH as of the past few years, but if you can score these, they are fantastic and prices very well. No brainer pellet to stock up on for the whole winters burn. You will not be disappointed.
Oct 2017 – WOW. These pellets are awesome! Super hot burn and almost no ash. I love the hardwoods and I was really looking forward to burning the softwoods and was pleasantly surprised how awesome they are!

Used 3 bags of logik at the end of last season when I ran out of Maine Woods. They were pretty good. Burned hot, with a decent burn time and not much ash for a hard wood. I would definitely use them again. Only problem is that the Dodge Grain in Salem, NH charges $30 per ton for delivery so the final cost is a bit higher than I would like to pay. I have a Quad CB1200.
Time to buy pellets again and after a season with logik pellets I need to find another source. I have a 2009 Quadrafire Mt vernon, that gets vacuumed weekly and taken apart to clean it monthly. It is spot less. These pellets are the dustiest pellets I have ever seen! It is very messy and I am sure not good for my stove as well as for me to breathe. I need to find somewhere to buy ClearChoice pellets that were the best so far. Not impressed at all with Logik-e!
I purchased 2 tons of LOGIK-E wood pellets that I burned in my older Harmon Accentra Insert. II did find that there was a bit more fines in these bags than some other brands I was burning. The pellets burned hot and had very little ash. I had been burning New England brand pellets, they had heavy ash and had to chisel the burn pot out every other day. I will definitely order the Logik-e or PWI pellets again next year.
Last season 2011-2012 i purchased 1 ton of the Logik-e pellets because I have heard they were the best. I just wanted 1 ton to try them out. I have a country (lenox) winslow pellet stove PS43. They burned great so i purchased 3 ton this year 2012-2013 and paid $239 a ton. They are a big disappointment this year The heat output is there but the bags are loaded with unprocessed wood chips, saw dust and pieces of metal. I can not go more than two days without cleaning the the pot out because the holes in the bottom of the pot plug very fast. Last year i only cleaned the pot and stove once a week. Very disappointed and will be looking for a new pellet for the 2013-2014 season. If i could post a pic here i have one with the wood and metal out of a handful of these pellets. They also look like a completely different pellet as far as length and color compared to last year.
I found these pellets at Westfield Feed in Westfield, MA. I have not tried them yet but everyone at the store told me that they are the best. I had already purchased pellets but I will try these the next time. They are acually a little cheaper than the ones I am buying now which are the Dry Creek Super. I like these pellets but I will try Logik-e the next time I purchase. The Dry Creek Super are the best I have putchased since I got my stove 5 years ago but I believe the employees at Westfield Feed and will use swithch with my next purchase.
Just bought 2 tons from
All Basics in Merrimack NH and these are simply awesome. High heat an and low ash. I cannot even keep my hand in front of the fan vents due to the high BTUs. I was using a cheap Lowe’s brand and now realize that you need to spend the money to get s quality pellet.
I have a Enland 25 and these pellets are a problem with moisture build up will not buy them anymore. I try Fireside and they work out fine a little more ash but I like them
i have a avlon arbor pellet stove. every different brand i try they always form clinker in the burn pot. i was wondering why this happen
Purchased 3 tons of LOGIK-E wood pellets that were delivered “Hot”. Yes all 3 tons were still warm 2 days after I received them. I started burning them in my Harmon Accentra Insert. Pelles built up moisture in pellet resevoir which led to rusting of the underside of the lid for the resevoir. Company that I purchased them from said to continue burning them – it wouldnt be a problem. Have been going back and forth with both companies. Not a super premium pellet by any means. I would have been better off buying a cheap brand. To this day I still have moisture build up with every bag.
I have a Breckwell insert pellet stove and these pellets are all dust …they are simply crumbling apart in the bag. I am latterly sifting through sawdust…and everyone knows what loose sawdust does to your stove! My pellets were delivered in bulk as I always have them delivered and they go from the pallet to the stove, so no abusive transportation to cause the extreme breakdown in the pellets. I clean my stove weekly as well as a thorough cleaning 2 times a year, which includes dislodging the exhaust pipe and cleaning all fans. I will not buy this product again.
