I’ve burned these pellets for the last 4-5 seasons. Every season they have been phenomenal… except this season. I go through about 5 ton per year and so far every single bag has seemed as if it were sent through a tumbler before they were stacked and shipped. Each bag has so much dust in it that it binds up my impeller and the dust that does make it into the fire box winds up as flyaway ash that sticks to the glass. Every other year they have been great high heat and low ash. This year way too much ash and it’s not as hot as in the past.
Pros
Can’t beat how they are bundled.
Cons
Too much dust which translates to too much ash and not as much heat as in prior years.
I have been using these pellets for 3 years now they are excellent , they burn clean very little ash , my glass on my Harmon P43 stays clean , they are expensive but worth it
Pros
Burns clean, high heat , little ash , no clinkers, glass stays clean , no soot,
If you’re burning pellets, you should be burning matra

This is my third year burning matra. They have been excellent. High heat, very little ash. I switched from ez blaze to these and never looked back. I believe this is the best pellet in the market.
I finally found the best reasonable priced pellets.
Pros
Pellets are packaged bullet proof triple wrapped heavy duty pallets. I use 7 tons per year these pellets burn VERY HOT and hardly any ash I run 24/7 all winter and clean my fire box 2 times a week I used to have to do it daily. I highly recommend these pellets and the price is in line. These pellets perform as well if not better than the Doug fir expensive ones!
Cons
None the only thing that could be better is if If I lived in a warmer climate and didn't need to buy/use pellets!!
Last time I did a review was Nov 2022 , these pellets are still great , burns very hot , very little ash , I had a few bags that had some saw dust in it which chokes up the auger , burns pretty clean I have hardly any ash and I can go 2 weeks still to clean by stove , I can actually go longer but I want to keep my stove working as it should
Heat is really good and they burn very clean. Low ash and burn pot maintenance.
Cons
The pellets are very dusty and poorly feed into the hopper. The pellet casing is poor and they are very broken up and dusty. They have the worst hopper feed of any brand I've used, unfortunately. I'll have a stove go out overnight with half the hopper full because they don't slide well. I have an insert pellet stove and free standing one and it happens in both. It's not a bad batch either since I've bought these for 2 separate seasons- 5 skids in total. I do not recommend these pellets. I'd rather use hardwood at a cheaper cost and more reliable hopper feed.
