This product is produced in Northern Alberta Canada. Wood supply is excellent and this mill produces high end lumber because of the quality of their wood supply. Very dry white looking pellet.
Very Hot burning softwood pellet and unlike others here who have reported that they have had problems with pellets size the 1.2 ton I purchased were very consistent size pellet with most about 3/4. Fines were low not many at all and they are a bit dusty but nothing excessive or even moderate. Wondering if they have fixed the pellet / fine issue that others are reporting or if its just the handling they have experienced. I would not consider them low ash as they do produce a lot of light and fluffy ash (high volume) in both of my stoves which are a Harman P68 and P43. These are my primary heating source and actually the only source I use to heat my old house. Good or Great pellets are essential and these are a very good hot burning pellet, they just produce a fair amount of ash and burn just a tad bit dirtier than LaCrete but not by much. Produce a lot more ash than LaCrete in my experience but a great choice for a high heat producing pellet. If your not pleased with these then something has happened in the transport or storage of the pellets as from the factory they are a high quality pellet in the top 5 of softwood pellets I have burned. Highly recommend these
I used both softwood and hardwood pellets in our Harman PC45 and I was cleaning the glass every other day. Then I tried the North Country brand and now I only have to clean the glass once a week. They are the cleanest burning pellets we have used. I like buying a Canadian product. We buy them from Peavy Mart in Swift Current Sk.
bought these pellets from rona .they seem to be cut wrong all the bags have long pellets at least 1-2 inches long they keep jamming the auger. and of course did not keep the bi;; to return
I just purchased a few bags of these from my local Agway in NH. I typically buy La Crete but apparently they had a fire in their manufacturing plant and their pellets are not currently available in my area. These are one of the best pellets for my stove, which has an issue with an overflowing burn pot (I’m told this is a typical problem with my stove – US Stove 5520).
These pellets burn hot and we are very happy with them. We will definitely buy more.
Recently purchased a ECO 65 Pellet Stove. Bought 3 pallets of North country Pellets, in middle of pile, bags had frozen chunks of pellet fines.Pellets won’t feed, , forms a hole through pellets in the hopper then guits. Need to dry these pellets any suggestions??
I agree.. are we talking about the same North Country pellets? mine are a bit on the long side if anything…..my Lignetics are small pellets. hardly any fines, nice smell, color, and plenty of heat. using a Harman P61A.
