Okanagan Douglas Fir is one of the best wood pellet on the market. Burning hotter, longer, and cleaner than any other wood pellet, Okanagan Douglas Fir has set the standard for super premium fuel pellets. Made from 100% Douglas Fir Softwood, Okanagan Douglas Fir does not use recycled wood, additives, plastic or waxes. Additionally, the very low ash content of this product results in less cleaning and maintenance of your stove, boiler, or furnace.

Hi, I live in Worcester, MA. and I bought 10 bags of Okanagan Douglas Fir pellets when my regular supplier ran out of my usual brand of New England Hardwood. My god, these are fantastic pellets!!!! Almost no ash and high heat. The problem is I can’t find anyone in my area who sells them. Does anyone know how I can get my hands on some??? They are worth paying extra for.
I have a Harman classic bay 1200 stove.
Okanagan Douglas Fir The best soft wood pellet I have used. Country Boy white lighting is the best hard wood pellet .I have a quadra-fire 1200 classic bay. I purchased this stove in 2006 and this is my tenth winter burning pellets. This stove has burnt any and every pellet found in my area including corn as a 50 50 mix with the wood pellet. This has been a tough year here in Long Island NY for pellets .Lowes and home depot carry the worst pellets I have ever used like Stove Chow Wood Pellets, Timber Heat etc. but my quadra-fire burns them all with out a problem. Its just a matter of cleaning the stove. Just tried Okanagan gold , American Wood Fibers Hardwood, and La Crete Wood Pellets I personally found that my stove burned these pellets with tremendous heat and very little ash.
This is my first year with a pellet stove. My stove is the Enviro M55 Cast. I have tried 3 other types of pellets since I had my stove installed. With the cold winter we’ve had here in Massachusetts this year, I’ve had to run my stove on 3 or 4 just to keep the house comfortable. I just received my delivery of Douglas Fir pellets and they are PHENOMINAL!! I’ve been able to run my stove at 2 almost exclusively. I tested the heat output with the other pellets using a meat thermometer with the stove on high (5). Output for the other pellets (Okanagan Platinum and Supreme Green was around 175 degrees. The temperature with there is 215 degrees on high. I plan to clean the stove tomorrow, but from what I can see, the amount of ash is MUCH LESS than with any other pellets I’ve tried. I will be ordering these exclusively next year.
Had a chance to burn a couple bags of the Okanagan Dougas Fir. Next year I will be preordering them. Definitely the best pellet I have used.
I am a new pellet stove user. The guy at the feed store sold me on these pellets by telling me he has sold pellets for almost 20yrs and if i was looking for low ash and high btu that these are it. Hes right..1 ton burned and very happy, no issues at all except for trying to get them after a tough winter. You cant lose w these.
Absolutely the best pellet I have ever used. They burn very hot with hardly no ash. They are more expensive but are worth it. I was shocked when I looked at my ash tray to find hardly no ash. Because they burn so hot I was able to lower my heat setting so I burn less and still keep the house very comfortable. I’ll always use these.
I have a Harmon 25, that is at least ten years old. I have used Spruce Pointe and Okanagan premium in the past with very good luck, both are excellent pellets, but they cannot compare to the Okanagan Douglas fir pellets that I am using this year and will continue to use as long as I can get them they are excellent. The heat from them is amazing, almost no ash, and it is now into January and I have only vacuumed my stove twice this year, in the past I would have to vacuum on almost a weekly basis. They are expensive but I am sure I will use much fewer pellets. Fantastic!!
By far the best pellets ….i know they are pricey but the heat they put out is amazing…and the ash content is minimum
My pellet stove is a vista flame insert vf100
I bought 3 pallets of the Okanagan Douglas Fir. I also bought 2 pallets of the Okanagan Platinum Softwood pellets. So far I’ve burned about 15 bags of the platinum and 10 bags of the Douglas Fir. I can say that all the hype is real. The FIR burns 50% hotter with 50% less ash. Yes they are probably the most expensive pellet on the market but since it burn much much hotter I lowered the augur setting and use less pellets. Next season I’m going 100% Okanagan Douglas Fir.
When it comes to pellets, these are by FAR the best burning pellet. I’ve burned many different brands, including Heartlands, and nothing compares to these. Very little ash if any and the heat output is incredible. Not to mention, the glass stays clean for over a week. Incredible pellets! I will always buy these if available!
