Hotter, Drier and Cleaner than industry standards for “Premium” pellets
The Pellet Fuels Institute (PFI) set standards for all pellets, including “Premium.” Olympus pellets exceed these standards in several important ways:
Summary
These were fantastic pellets a few years back. I’m hoping to get a new bag for this 2018-19 heating season

i have 2 bosca soul 700 inserts stoves to heat my house. I am currently burning a ton of these as well as a ton of clean burn. They both put out a lot of heat and olympus make a great pellet. My only observation is that my burn pot has more ash build up after a full day of burning then the clean burns do. However the heat and flame is consistent throughout the day.
I’m having trouble dialing my stove burn properly – either too low or too high. Going from Atlas to Olympus I immediately had a stove full of flames and black glass. I lowered the feed the first step and it barely flamed out of the burn pot. I’ll keep working at it since I purchased another ton from the supplier that originally sold Atlas.
I previously used Atlas wood pellets. I burn about 2 to 3 tons a season. With the Olympus pellets I immediately noticed that the stove put out more heat and best of all I don’t need to clean out the stove as much! With the Atlas pellets I had to clean out ash about every week or the stove would fault out and not start all the time. With Olympus pellets I only have to clean out once or twice a month! The glass stays so much cleaner too! These are as good as it gets.
I found that the weight is not marked on the bag and that they are about 6 lbs light in comparison to other pellets.
Very good pellet and I’m glad to see those plants back in service.
These pellets are right there with my favorite pellets (North Idaho Energy Pellets) in overall quality.
$185/to for those of you in the Greater Spokane, WA area from the Hauser Plant.

We recently switched from Golden Fire pellets to Olympus pellets. We are having difficulty starting a fire using them in our Earth stove. We use a firestarter, which burns and the pellets never catch fire. I clean the stove daily, and give it a thorough cleaning once a month. Also have a professionsl clean it every year.
Can anyone give me advice on how I can get these pellets to catch on fire to start the stove. I didn’t have any problem with the Golden Fire, nor was there very much ash.
Pacific Coast Fiber Fuel is producing Olympus Pellets. Coeur d’ Alene Fiber Fuels, Inc. produced Atlas.
Olympus is priduced with better material, the same plant and the same employees that Atlas used to be. Olympus is 100% Douglas fir; nothing burns cleaner.
