The pellets are 100% mixed eastern hardwoods. Roughly 80% oak and the balance hickory, poplar, beech, and maple.
O’Malley Lumber wood pellets are made from 100% hardwood wood fiber; there are no additives or chemicals. Because we use the wood waste created by their own sawmills we can totally control the quality of the product that goes into our pellets – something other manufacturers can’t claim.
The technology they use at our sawmills guarantees that the wood product that goes into our pellets has never come in contact with the ground. While this may seem like a minor point, it allows them to guarantee clean, consistent hardwood pellets that won’t contain any dangerous contaminants like rocks, dirt, and other debris.
These hardwood pellets are some of the best on the market, delivering extremely high BTU’s and a low ash content. O’Malley Pellets work well in all stoves, bringing you a clean and comfy burn. All wood pellets are environmentally friendly and in no way contribute to global warming. So sit back and relax while you burn a bag of O’Malley Wood Pellets.
Summary

Quadra fire CB 1200 free standing and CB 1200i Have used O malley’s pellet going on five years now. First couple of years great pellets the price was great. Third year I ordered three tons and one of the three left a lot of ash had to kind of mix them up. Last year three tons no complaints. 2017 ordered two tons and have never had so many issue with this batch of pellets Clinkers, clogged fire pot where they form a crust on firepot and won’t allow pellets to light I have played with feed rate, cleaned my exhaust chamber these guys just don’t want to burn right. I was up at two this morning cleaning it out to make it through the night. Not a Happy Camper O’Malley!!
The first year of burning Omalley s with a brand new Quadrafire Castile insert, went well as expected. A clean burn not a lot of ash and used in cold temps down too 15 degrees, continuously that was 2016 and two tons. Fast forward to 2017, ordered two more pallets from the same supplier, who as I understood got a brand new supply in. Pallets were sealed pretty well, one bag on bottom was opened, ok one bag that s seen, can deal with. SO far this season, up to 12/27/17, has been a bit of a night mare. The pellets are more fragmented, little pieces, burn fast and create lots of soot. Not only does the unit flame up, the fire pot fills with extended runs and clogs with the consumed pellets, that dont seem fully burned. Continuously I am cleaning the unit every day, and complete vacuum out the discharge fan twice a week. I have the auger feed at the lowest point to reduce delivery, IN short these pellets SUCK!
These pellets dont burn completely. Had a tech come out to replace a vacuum switch in Nov. Lots of soot heavier particles clogging up the unit. He states he seen Lots of stove failures because the pellet quality, fuel being mass produced to fill short orders. Thats great now I have to find some other product that SUCKS LESS. The lumber mills need to get it together.

Harman P68. Bought 2 ton of OmalleyLumber Premium Grade pellets and these are some of the worst pellets I’ve used. Every bag has bad seal and or holes along with massive amounts of fines. The pellets produce 2x the amount of ash any true “Premium” pellet may contain to have the premium designation.
I have a King stove. Up until this year, I’ve been very happy with O’malley pellets. This year I ordered 2 ton of pellets, and probably 10 – 15 bags in each ton have been ripped at the seams. I don’t appreciate spending money on pellets that are now turning to mush or clumping so that they can’t be used.
We have an Ashley stove and we have had no problems at all! The only thing is that the bags at the top seam do come apart and rip easy but the wood pellets are great! We have really low ash, and my stove has started every time we started it! It sounds like a lot of people’s stove aren’t working right so they give a bad review! I just want to say that I love my stove and my pellets to, love the warmth that comes out to!!!
I’ve been burning wood pellets for 10 yrs now and these are by far the worst pellets ever They burn terrible they clog up and sometimes they don,t even ignite Also the bags are very cheap they rip open while unloading NEVER AGAIN
This is my first season using O’Malley pellets and it will be my last! These pellets won’t ignite in my Profile 20 stove on the first cycle. They cause my stove to fill the burn pot twice, then just smoke until I get a vigorous small “explosion” forcing smoke out of the door gasket into the room. My stove has a brand new Lennox igniter and was thoroughly cleaned before the heating season this year. The first 5 bags of Allegheny pellets I had left over from last year did not exhibit this delay in starting, nor has any other brand I’ve used.
Omalleys burn great. Better than Hammers. I have a quadra-fire stove. Lignetics are the best. 2nd year with stove bought 2 tons of lignetics for real cold weather and 1 ton of Omalleys for regular days.
These pellets formed clinkers in my 15 year old Breckwell as well as my new st croix. 2-3 days and the Breckwell is choking out. The st croix burns them until the clinkers fill the pot ( rolled up in little balls due to the moving grate ). Then it won’t ignite. Stick with soft wood or a mix , o malley was no help and didn’t even know what a clinker is. They were not cheap at 270 a ton. Should have gone to Home Depot for this quality of fuel. Avoid them.
