these pellets are the worse pellets I have ever used, I have been burning pellets for three years, have tried many brands of pellets, these are the worse. I have clean the stove of the ash and char that these pellets leave
I have a us stove company model 5660 bought at tractor supply we clean it once a week. We had to buy these pellets because there was nothing else out there and they are bad. Cant put heat on 1 fire burns out, and my glass is so dirty and lots of ash. They have more dust in bag then the lignetics we usually use. Never again if this wasnt my only heat source for house i would of returned them to tractor supply. When I called tractor supply they said they had lignetics and then after we drove 2 hours to get them these are what they actually had. I think tractor supply has been dupping alot of people because of the shortage. Shame on them.
I have the same issues as most with these. I run a Harmon P35i and these seem to have Low heat output and more ash. Almost as if they want to smother the fire with the ash. Turned up the feed and it helps but still lots of ash and low heat. Oh well with most suppliers out I will make do with what I can find.
Have a Harmon stove, clean usually once a week, and bought pure fire pellets becuase home depot was out so I picked up a few of these bags at our local tax and they are the worst pellets I have ever gotten, fire dies out every half hour, and jams my auger, never buying them again..
I have been burning pellets for 6 years in my home. These are far and away the worst I have yet to use. I have a Quadra Fire pellet stove and it has never given me problems. I have daily “clinkers” , heavy ash build up and low heat output. I usually try some shoulder bags before I purchase a ton. I tried TSC brand and they worked as well as most. I went to by a ton and the fork lift came out with these. How bad could they be? Never again. Stay away.
For your information, to start with Item #4 I clean my Lopi Pioneer Stove twice weekly.
I am on my second ton of Pure Fire Pellets, Tractor Supply, Potsdam New York.
The first ton was excellent, bought another and they are terrible. Ash needs to be cleaned every day and a half. Seems like a dust storm in every bag. Is the dust causing all the ash build up?
No change in Restrictor setting or heat setting.
Any thoughts on why such a change in ash build up, no clinkers, just a lot of ash and I believe a reduction in heat.
I am terribly disappointed with these pellets and I have the same complaints of the stove going out, huge clunkers – to the point of contacting my service company thinking it must be the stove. After explaining the problem it was suggested I burn another brand for a few days to see if things improved. I burned Lignetics and right out of the bag you could see the difference. Moreover, the stove operated great. These Pure Fire are junk pellets at best. I contacted TSC, where I purchased and they claimed they have received no complaints. I find that hard to believe. Purchased mine in Bennington, VT in October, 2013.
I dislike these pellets. They are very breakable. I have had difficulty with the stove going out since I started using them. Have come accross a few bags the the pellets are blown up puffy. Not sure if this is caused by moisture.
Not happy with these pellets. Harmon stove, third year and is cleaned regularly. These pellets are bad in the bag. Very crumbly and dusty. Worse we have ever bought. Bought at Tractor Supply this year.
I have a england stove. keeps jamming the auger.I clean my stove every day.
