Questionable quality.
Temp was 29 last night so I tried out the Pur Heat pellets from Boliviar, MO. First brand I have used in 15 years to have this much dust and crumbles. Before using I had to build a sawdust separator. They seem to burn a bit cooler but I like that there are a lot of longer pellets. I bought 2 ton so I’m stuck with them for this winter. Initially not impressed but will update after 2 ton use. First impression is not good.

No Heat pellets
Purchased a Ton of Pur Heat pellets in spring 2020, when supplies of our regular pellets could not be found. These are the worst pellets we have ever used. Hard to lite, several times over flowing fire pot because they wouldn’t lite. and empty unburned pellets into the ash pan which would catch on fire and smoke up the house. Lots of ash! We would normally empty our ash pan every 5 or 6 bags. With PurHeat pellets we emptied every second bag. If we tried to go 3 bags the ash pan ran over. And they didn’t seem to generate the amount of heat as previous brands that we have used. In the future, if PurHeat is the only brand available, we will not buy.

Burns very hot
I am surprised by the negative reviews, the pellets I purchased at the end of last season and used this season have burned hotter than any pellets I have tried before and I have used at least eight different brands. I am guessing there is a lot of variation from batch to batch with all brands because they are using a waste product and the sources may vary but the batch I was using burned very hot with very little ash and no clinkers from my liberator rocket heater. All the bags from the pallet I purchased seemed very consistent to each other. I wish all pellets burned as well is these did.

Pur Heat Hardwood klinkers
I bought these pellets at Menards when supplies went low in Feb 2019. They keep us warm fine, not as good as others. I went from cleaning my Pelpro 130 every other day to twice a day with this brand. I would only buy these when all other options are gone.

Beats nothing but not by much.
Without a doubt these are the most inconsistent pellet I have ran across. One bag won’t light and the next is easy start. They seem to heat okay when burning but man do they ever smoke when lighting. I think it’s the vegetable oil they add but that is just a guess. Personally, I only purchase this brand when NO OTHER is available.

Worst pellet yet. Had a hopper of lignetics and dumped a bag of purcrap ontop. When the purcrap hit the forest my room temp dropped 7 degrees. Had to run stove on high just to maintain 66 degrees. What a joke.

To Whom It May Concern, A few days ago I sent an e-mail to you regarding your wood pellets. I have not received an answer to my question. My question is as follows: I have a pellet fired grill. All I want to know is if your pellets are okay for grilling. Will they give off any harmful fumes or will they leave a bad taste to what I grill. I am not asking you if the pellets are compatable with the grill. That’s on me. I would appreciate an answer.
These are some of the best pellets I have ever burned. Excellent heat with almost no ash and they are priced right as well.
Great product very little ash and high BTU. Best product in the Midwest that I have found.
