and Puffin"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Necessity being the mother of invention, I decided to invent myself a job eariler this week.\u00a0 I cranked up t&#8217;internet and went looking for alternative pellet suppliers.\u00a0 Who knows, I told myself, it&#8217;s a year since you went looking, maybe someone else is out there and doing a good deal now.<\/p>\n<p>It didn&#8217;t take me long to find Puffin Pellets, an independent company in Aberdeenshire.\u00a0 I&#8217;ve had quotes from them in the past but they were never sufficiently cheaper than my usual supplier to warrant the risk inherent in making a change.\u00a0 This time, however, was a different story.<\/p>\n<p>I now have in front of me full quotes from Puffin, and from my usual supplier of Balcas Brites.\u00a0 And let me tell you &#8230; it looks like I stand to save \u00a335 ($54) per tonne with Puffin.\u00a0 That could easily be \u00a3175 ($272) over the course of the season.<\/p>\n<p>The only slight drawback is that they come in 20kg bags rather than the 10kg bags I&#8217;m used to.\u00a0 But for that saving, I&#8217;m happy with the extra weight.\u00a0 I probably need the exercise anyway.\u00a0 All I need to do now is get a load in and review them.\u00a0 I still have about 300kg in store so it&#8217;ll probably be a month yet, but, hey, I&#8217;m excited (yes, I know, I&#8217;m excited about wood pellets &#8230;
