Olympus Wood Pellets

Olympus Wood Pellets

100% Softwood (Douglas Fir) – Ultra Premium Fuel

Olympus Wood Pellets are manufactured using only high-quality Douglas fir sawdust, with no fillers, bark, or binders. The result is a very dense, dry pellet engineered for clean burning, high heat output and minimal ash.

Typical specs: Recent batches report ash content under 0.25% and moisture significantly lower than industry “Premium” standards. Because of the softwood species and rigorous processing, these pellets deliver stronger heat and longer burn time compared to many typical blends.

Availability: While originally produced in the Pacific Northwest, Olympus is available nationwide through select dealers and online distribution. Because of its premium nature and softwood feedstock, verify bag date and storage condition before purchasing large quantities.

Status note: Olympus remains a highly-regarded pellet brand noted for quality and clean operation. That said, some user feedback indicates batch variation in recent seasons—so testing a few bags early in the season is recommended.

Bottom line: If your pellet stove is set up for softwood fuel and you’re seeking a top-tier product with exceptional heat and very low ash, Olympus Wood Pellets are an excellent choice—just check for fresh bag date and storage quality before committing.

      Summary

These were fantastic pellets a few years back. I’m hoping to get a new bag for this 2018-19 heating season

        Olympus Pellets

        Pros

        • Price is as good as any. I buy 8 pallets of pellets every Fall and get a 5% discount at Tractor Supply.

        Cons

        • Don't put out nearly as much heat as Blazer pellets. I have to turn my stove up a couple of notches to get the same heat. Also, there is a lot more ask with Olympus.

Best pellets available, bought 50 bags from tractor supply in lodi California last year. Had to clean my heater only once all year. This year they only had x brand burning twice as much and have to clean my heater every 5 bags. Trying to find olympus pellets around my area, don’t want to burn anything else.

        Pros

        • Great product

        Cons

        • Can't find any near me

      3. Clinker pellets

        (1)

Clinker clogged my ash door and unburnt pellets keeps choking the fire out, low heat output. Tractor supply told me these were green supreme and they just changed their name, they lied, grange co op, home depot and coastal have them and they work ay better than oly’s puss

        Pros

        • Lots of ash and clinkers

        Cons

        • No heat, suffocates the fire

Burned a ton of these in my St. Croix insert. Nice flame, burned hot with very little ash. However they did turn the glass black within a few hours. I would rather use PackSaddle Douglass Fir pellets, but they are difficult to find in the North East.

I have so much ash and smoke and pellets up on top not down in the drawer. I will never use Olympus again
