UpCountry Wood Pellets are manufactured in Athens, Maine, by Maine Woods Pellet Company using quality wood fiber sourced from the surrounding region. Produced especially for Wood Pellet Warehouse, UpCountry combines hardwood with a smaller amount of softwood to create a balanced blend designed for strong heat output and a clean, consistent burn.
Using locally sourced materials also helps reduce the distance the raw wood and finished pellets must travel. Lower transportation costs can help keep UpCountry competitively priced compared with pellets shipped into New England from much farther away.
UpCountry Pellet Specifications
Published product testing lists the following results:
- Wood type: Hardwood and softwood blend

- Ash content: Less than 1%, with reported testing around 0.5%
- Moisture content: Approximately 5%

These results meet or exceed the published benchmarks for premium-grade pellet fuel. The combination of low moisture, controlled ash and consistent pellet size is intended to provide reliable performance while helping reduce ash accumulation and routine stove cleaning.
As with any wood pellet, actual heat output and ash production can vary by stove, operating settings, storage conditions and production batch. We recommend trying several bags in your stove before purchasing a full ton.
