Geneva Wood Pellets

Geneva Wood Pellets

100% Hardwood – Premium Northeast Fuel

Geneva Wood Pellets are manufactured in Strong, Maine and made entirely from hardwood logs that are debarked, chipped and dried to deliver high-density, low-ash fuel ideal for pellet stoves. They’re distributed throughout the Northeast and into states where homeowners demand clean burning, steady heat pellets.

Typical specs: recent runs list ash content around ~0.50% and heat output around ~8,100 BTUs per pound (as received). These pellets are bagged in 40-lb units and aimed at homeowners who want a higher-grade hardwood pellet option without stepping into ultra-high-end custom fuels.

Availability: Geneva pellets are available through regional dealers and distributors in New England and surrounding regions. Because of their hardwood-only structure, supply may be more limited than standard blends, so it’s wise to check stock and bag date before buying by the ton.

Status note: The brand has been acquired by a larger pellet-manufacturer and continues to appear in the market. While early batch quality earned high marks, some recent user feedback mentions increased variation in burn performance and ash—so test early and check freshness.

Bottom line: If you’re heating in the Northeast and want a hardwood-only pellet made by a dedicated producer with strong specs, Geneva Wood Pellets are a very good choice—just ensure you’re getting a fresh bag and that your local dealer has a good supply.

      1. I was new to the pellet stove a few years back and have used these Geneva pellets since I started. The glass was black after running it all night and the fire box was flowing over which forced me to shut it down, let it cool and clean all the black soot that built up only to start the process again and again. Me being new to the pellet stove thing a few years ago I thought this was a normal process. Was I so wrong. Going to order another 2 tons of these nightmare pellets the company ran out and forced me to look for another brand. (Thank God) I came across these pellets called “Green Team” bought from Lowes. All I can say is WHAT A DIFFERENCE. I will never buy another brand of pellets but these “Green Team”. I loaded up my hopper with these pellets 1 week ago and the stove has been running continuous and still looks like I just cleaned it all out and fired it up. It is JUST AMAZING what a difference these pellets make. I have a Heatilator PS50 by Eco Choice and I will never put anything else in this stove other than Green Team pellets. Please save yourself a lot of trouble and try a bag of these. You will simply never use anything else again.

      2. High ash output. I rate a pellet by how often I am required to clean my stove. This brand lasted a couple bags and the burn pot needed a cleaning. The best I’ve ever burned is Country Boy White Lightning.

      3. I burned this brand last year and they were amazing, this season, the fines are out of control! They are burning well but I bet there are 6 to 8 cups of fines each bag… And who do you contact in the company to talk to someone, they website is even down.
