  1. Worst decision EVER

    We have heated with wood all of our adult lives (5 decades) and decided to treat ourselves witg a new woodstove. We did our research and thought the shape of the Bari would suit the vaulted ceiling. We had MULTIPLE VERY serious issues with the stove- our house was CONSTANTLY covered in soot, no room for ashes, the door closing mechanism would jamb and the worst was that (after only 1 month of use) THE GLASS CRACKED! It was January and the stove was our primary heat source and here we were during a storm with no power and no heat. We were at the mercy of the store where we purchased it (Evergreen in Ellsworth Maine) because you cannot purchase the glass directly from the manufacturer (unlike most stoves). We didn’t get the glass for almost 2 weeks- so we had to buy a new stove! DO NOT BUY!
