Country Boy White Lightning Wood Pellets
100% Hardwood (Oak) – Super Premium Fuel
Country Boy White Lightning Wood Pellets are crafted from kiln-dried oak sawdust sourced during hardwood flooring manufacturing. The result is a dense hardwood pellet designed for high heat output, low ash residue and long burn times.
Typical performance: Recent user tests report ash content as low as ~0.17%, burn times exceeding 17 hours on a bag, and very little evidence of fines or dust when properly stored. These pellets stand out in the hardwood category for cleanliness and performance.
Availability: Produced in Kentucky (by the company behind Country Boy Pellets) and distributed regionally across the Eastern U.S. Since they are a hardwood-only, premium product, check bag date, storage condition and confirm your local supplier carries fresh stock before buying in bulk.
Status note: The brand is still well-regarded among pellet-stove owners seeking top-tier hardwood fuel. While pricing is higher than standard blends, many users consider the improved burn quality and lower maintenance worth the extra cost.
Bottom line: If your pellet stove is tuned for hardwood fuel and you’re looking for a premium pellet with excellent burn performance and minimal ash, Country Boy White Lightning Wood Pellets are a strong choice—just confirm freshness and local availability before purchasing.

Still the best
Made from all hardwood, I rarely have a problem with these. The times that I’ve had fine sawdust, or non-burns, have been when I end up using bags that I’ve stored very long term, outside but protected. I think that, just like logs, eventually moisture and time degrades the wood. Fresh bags from my dealer in McDonough Georgia have always burnt clean and completely. Other brands not labeled hardwood only, end up causing black soot and don’t seem to burn quite as hot. They are at the top of my list for great fuel.

Don’t waste your money!
Horrible, not the quality they have been in the past for sure! The cheap bags from Walmart burn better than these. There are more unburnt pellets at the bottom of my stove than what is being burned to warm the house. Leaves the glass black with residue and they just pile up instead of burn. Worst pellets! Will not buy again!

We first purchase these pellets a year ago and they were amazing. We purchased another ton this year (2019) and they are the worst product we have ever purchased. The bags are full of dust and the burn is awful. We have to clean our pellet stoves at the minimum of twice a day and the have no burn time. Very disappointed and will not be purchasing this brand again. How very disappointing. We were told after bringing this to the attention of our supplier that that had several complaints and they would look into it. Not very good customer service. I would only give them one star.
