O’Malley Lumber

The hardwood pellets that carry the O’Malley Lumber name are made from100% hardwood wood fiber; there are no additives or chemicals. Because we use the wood waste created by our own sawmills we can totally control the quality of the product that goes into our pellets – something other manufacturers can’t claim.

The technology we use at our sawmills guarantees that the wood product that goes into our pellets has never come in contact with the ground. While this may seem like a minor point, it allows us to guarantee clean, consistent hardwood pellets that won’t contain any dangerous contaminants like rocks, dirt, and other debris.

  1. I bought 5 ton of wood pellets from Lavale MD Tractor Supply brought two tons home and started unloading them these were marked from Virginia soak and wet and the bags are not sealed from the company used two rolls of package tape and went back to Tractor Supply for a refund the management said he knew they had a problem but I would have to deal with it.Never again a O’Malley wood pellet at my house

  2. I bought a pallet of these pellets, 50 bags. Six were water damaged, due to bag seams not being properly sealed at manufacture. Many other bags had tears or existing slits, which would tear open with even the most gentle handling of the bags. I had inspect each bag on the pallet and tape up holes/slits before moving off the pallet. I buy 3 tons of pellets every year, so I’ve had A LOT of experience with moving 40 lb pellet bags. I will not be purchasing more of these.

  3. Sorry to say that after burning 10 bags, they seem to burn very dirty (the glass on the stove was almost black after a few hours and a lot of dust and finds) than the pellets I used for the last several years. Unfortunately, Lowe’s made a switch this year, so I will have to find an alternative this year. Glad I did’t buy my usual 3 tons worth!

  4. My son and I both bought 2 tons each from our local Tractor Supply last year. They seemed to burn well
At first, but after a ton or so , we both had problems with crusty lumps in the fire pot and excessive hard crud
On the combustion fan blades, mine had to be replaced
I can normally clean the fins with a stiff bristled paint brush. But it now needs to be scraped off as it is stuck
On. We won’t use again , back to Lignetics. Always worked well
