Pure Fire Wood Pellets

Pure Fire Wood Pellets

Hardwood Blend – Standard Bagged Heating Fuel

Pure Fire Wood Pellets are a value-oriented heating pellet, typically sold in 40-lb bags and offered through general-supply outlets. They are marketed as a convenient pellet fuel option for pellet stoves and inserts.

Typical performance: While the manufacturer positions them as a clean-burn pellet made from recyclable sawdust, user reports indicate variable quality—some bags burn cleanly with acceptable ash, while others show higher levels of dust/fines and reduced heat output. :contentReference[oaicite:1]{index=1}

Availability: This brand has been stocked in select retail chains (especially in the Northeastern U.S.) though inventory appears inconsistent and stock may include older production runs. When purchasing, check bag date, inspect for excess dust, and if possible test a bag before committing to a whole pallet.

Status note: Pure Fire remains listed in some inventories, but given the variation in user feedback and possible quality control issues, it’s recommended for budget-minded users who are willing to monitor performance carefully.

Bottom line: If you’re looking for a low-cost pellet option and are comfortable with testing and inspecting freshness, Pure Fire Wood Pellets can serve. If your stove demands very consistent performance and you prefer minimal ash and maximal heat, you may want to consider stepping up to a higher-grade pellet.

  1. Pure Fire are by far the worst pellets i have purchased. The dust is bad .the ash is by far the worst i have burned . i have been buying my pellets from tractor supply for years . This year i got burned . 20 bags of wet pellets and the heat from them is not good. Do not buy them. They suck

  2. I bought one ton of these to use in the fall of 2014 as my first ton before I received a previously ordered batch of Green Supreme (Which I have been using for years). The Pure Fire burned great. The ton or Pure Fire only filled my Harmon Advance ash pan about 3/4 of the way… and that was after burning the entire ton! Fall is typically is full of days with slower burning and less efficient burning, so I was more than pleasantly surprised. The only negative I noticed was that a few bags had a much higher than normal amount of saw dust in the bags. Oddly most dust got burned and not much ever made its way into the dust catch pan.

    I was surprised to see so many negative comments about this brand. I may have received a good batch, or maybe it is just well suited to my stove. If I could get more this year, I would, but I would be a bit hesitant to to buy a full season’s supply till I tried another 2 or 3 tons. My local Tractor supply (Where I bought them last year) does not have any in stock now, so not sure what I will be getting.

    FYI: I have burned about 5 tons per season of Green Supreme for the past 4 or 5 years and they have always performed fine.

  3. I have an Enviro Mt. Vernon E2 pellet stove. I bought these pellets at tractor supply without reading any reviews. I cannot get an heat out of the pellets and I am going through them like water. Will never buy these pellets again.

  4. Dang all the neg comments I’ve had great luck with these in my Avalon arbor the least ash of any I’ve burned and I’ve burned a lot of different pellets
