Hotter, Drier and Cleaner than Pellet Fuels Institute national “Premium” standards
The Pellet Fuels Institute (PFI) set standards for all pellets, including “Premium.” Cascade pellets exceed these standards in several important ways, making them Ultra Premium:
Summary
These were fantastic pellets a few years back. I’m hoping to get a new bag for this 2018-19 heating season

Super Impressed
It has been difficult finding top quality heating pellets in Santa Fe for many years. This is the first time I’ve seen or heard of this brand. I gave them a try and am very pleased that I did. They burn hot, and most importantly to me, produce a small amount of ash. I highly recommend these pellets.

Terrible
Will never buy these again the Ashish pellets I have ever used. Have to clean stove at least twice a week.

Dust all the time and Blackened window on my pellet stove
I have used Sierra Supreme Pellets for over 5 years. I am dealing with lots of dust from my pellet stove due to the Sierra pellets. I am also having to clean the window to my pellet stove about every 4 days due to the black residue left there from the pellets.
If anyone has advice on better pellets to purchase please let me know.

Actually, I have had almost a year of experience now burning with Sierra Supreme’s and I agree. I don’t think Golden Fire is a bad pellet at all — but I do think the pellets coming out of Shelton, WA are simply better. They burn a little hotter and have hardly any ash — a pellet stove operator’s dream. Less mess. Less cleaning. More heat.
sierra pellets put golden fire to shame. The sierras are head and shoulders above them. The golden fire always clogs up stove, not so with sierras. Now of course i cant find them.Using a castle stove, really good stove.
Lowe’s had an end of the season sale for a ton. I burn Bear Mountain and Golden Fire typically and I can see/feel no significant gains/losses. With the mark down, I paid $4.15 a bag. It’s Douglas Fir so it’s not like you are going to go terribly wrong either way. Check out pcpellets.com. They’re made in Shelton, WA.
We really liked the less ash and more heat. Had 30 bags left from last year, can not find Sierra Supreme Wood Pellets in my area this year.
