Warm Front Wood Pellets
Hardwood-Dominant Blend – Premium Regional Fuel
Warm Front Wood Pellets are manufactured by a northeastern U.S. pellet producer using a blend of approximately 85–90% hardwood and 10–15% softwood. The raw material is kiln-dried, screened and pressed to produce a dense, high-energy pellet that’s designed to burn hot, clean and efficiently.
Recent test runs show heat output of around 8,000–8,300 BTUs per pound with ash content in the ~0.4-0.6% range in well-run batches. The pellets are bagged in 40-lb units (and in some regions also 20-lb), aimed at homeowners who want an above-average fuel without stepping into ultra-premium pricing.
Availability: Warm Front is distributed primarily in the Northeastern United States via dealers, fuel delivery services and some regional retailers. Because it is a regional production run, checking for fresh stock, bag date and proper storage is especially important before purchasing by the ton.
Status note: The brand remains active and known among pellet stove users in the Northeast. That said, user reports note batch variability from season to season—making it wise to test a bag early in the season and confirm your stove settings match the fuel.
Bottom line: If you’re heating in a region served by the manufacturer, and your pellet stove is tuned for a hardwood-dominant fuel with clean burn and moderate ash, Warm Front Wood Pellets are a solid choice—just verify bag date, storage and batch freshness before bulk buying.

I have not burned these pellets yet and would love to get a bag in the mail for this 2018 season.

Warm Front Pellets
I live in upstate NY, I have a Castle pellet stove that I can adjust both fan voltage and an air inlet valve that is adjustable. I used green supreme and it is by far the best heat producer but it is very dirty, I have to clean the stove every 24 hours because of the excessive ash. The following year I purchased 6 brands of 4 bags each and found New England brand pellets put out just as good heat but far less ash that Green Supreme, I can go about 3 days before the ash bucket is full. This year we purchased the New England pellets again but I saw this new brand for the area called Warm Front that is made by or with the New England pellets and was cheaper than the New England pellets so I purchased 10 bags to try it and found that these are by far the cleanest pellets I have burned in my stove, it took a couple of bags to find the right fan voltages for this brand, once it was dialed in I cleaned the stove like I do when testing any brand and found that in my stove the Warm Front burned so clean that the window in the door didn’t start to ash up till the 5th day straight and the ash bucket was only half full. So in my opinion Warm front pellets will be my primary purchase followed by New England pellets and then Barefoot pellets. My suggestion is to try different brands and try different adjustments on your stove if it is equipped until you find one or more brands that work for you.

Poor Quality
This is my first and last year using this product. First of all, the product does make decent heat. It was warm and comfortable in my house. However, that is not the problem. The problem is the amount of ash left behind is immense. I have went through 3 vacuums this year trying to clean my stove out. The issue is the pellets only half burn. This leads to the burn pot filling up within a day and then filling over and spilling outside. When you go to clean you have to shut your stove down for at least 8 hours and sift through it every 30 minutes to make sure the half burn pellets finally do burn. I will be switching back to the original brand I was using at tractor supply as I never had these issues before.
