Kentucky Kernel Wood Pellets

Kentucky Kernel hardwood pellets are pencil-size and about 3/4″ long. The burning pellets create a hot fire and leave very little residue (ash). The pellets are made entirely from wood waste with the addition of a little water and corn oil.

  1. I burned about 4 tons of these in my Harman XXV this winter in central NY. This is only my 2nd winter with the stove, so it’s hard to compare but I was really happy with these pellets. They made a nice hot fire with no clinkers and little ash. The pellets are small in size, but I didn’t notice using any more than normal. I believe I paid about $215 a ton for them.

  2. I recently purchased the Kentucky Kernel Wood Pellets since my supply of Pro Pellets had dried up. (nearing end of season)
I live in northern Indiana and I have a Quadra-fire Classic Bay Fireplace insert.
Lately with the Pro Pellet brand I was having to clean very frequently and the mineral deposits and ash was getting deeper and deeper. I was having to clean about every other day with Pro Pellets. I have bought 8 bags of the Kentucky Kernel and I barely have any ash or klinkers with this brand of pellets I am burning 1 bag every day. And I haven’t a need to clean the stove out yet.
I would highly recommend this brand of pellets
I am currently paying $5 a bag for Kentucky Kernel were i was paying $4 for the pro pellets but the Kentucky Kernel burns much better.
