Burnt maine’s Choice on my Austroflamm Integra Insert that I’ve owned for 18 yrs. and I’m very pleased with the burn…low ash and bright and clean fire…great deal for the price at Lowe’s…got them for $3.67 a bag…
Been testing different pellets trying to get away from the fireside ultra. Maine’s choice is not what I expected. Read the reviews and thought I would try them. I do a 3 bag test, haven’t gotten through the 2nd bag yet and very dirty with low btu. Having to run my Ashley on high with full air to burn. Alot of ash and black soot on the glass
These pellets are terrible. They have alot that are too long and also they burn very dirty. Lots of Ash and soot. My stove is a globoy stove and in the 10 years I’ve owned the stove, these are the first pellets to cause problems.
I have an Enviro EF1 stove. I’ve used Maines Choice for the past 2 years and have found them to be better than most other brands used. Minimal ash output, the glass stays relatively clean if i have a hot fire going, If turn the auger down for a cooler fire the glass will start to clog up. As long as I can continue to get these pellets and unless I hear of or find a better choice, I’ll continue to use these pellets!
