Nature’s Pellets are produced by Woodgrain Millwork. Woodgrain is a leading producer of windows, doors and mouldings. The company roots go back to 1954, when the founder, Merrill “Bud” Dame pioneered the manufacturing of small mouldings for the growing mobile home industry. Follow up review; after burning nearly half a ton I am less impressed with them. They are very soft and way to much dust and fines in the bags. They have also created a sticky build up in my hopper that caused the pellets to bridge and not feed. .
They do burn hot and with little ash but so do others without the mess. Not a repeat for me unless there is nothing else, which was the case a few weeks ago.

First time using these pellets, bought them from Home Depot. The picture of the pellets on the bag shows the pellets are “dark” but they were very light coming out of the bag. The pellets were broken down quite a lot; not because of the handling of the bags but because I believe the process and resins that keep the pellets’ shape wasn’t done correctly. The pellets sound and feels like you’re pouring sawdust into the bin to the pellet stove. I’m actually scared to use these bags as the “sawdust” consistency might jam my augur. I’m quite dissappointed.
I grabbed 6 bags of these at local HD and after burning the first bag I knew I couldn’t go wrong with the ton. You can really smell the pine. They have very low ash, great heat and doesn’t cloud the glass. I agree with another posting here, don’t handle these too much, they are soft. I’ve burned some great stuff and some lousy stuff, these are one of the good ones. I have a Harmon P35i and it pretty much will burn anything but I prefer stuff that does leave a mess to clean up.
Bought a few bags from the local HD. Surprised as to the heat, low ash and no clinkers their pellets have. Was concerned about the use of white pine as a fuel source not producing the BTU’s needed. Pleasantly surprised. If I had to offer a negative, pellets are soft. Some shake in the bottom of the bag. Would recommend handling as little as possible. Went back to HD and bought 2 tons. Ready for the winter. We have a Lenox Winslow free standing pellet stove
I installed a Thielen Parlor 3000 in 2010. I used Bear Valley Pellets the first year. I am now using Nature’s Fuel that I purchased during a feed store sale for easy delivery. I don’t like them near as much. They have more sawdust content and are softer than the Bear Valley pellets. I clean my stove every 2 to 3 days. The glass tends to get blacked more quickly than with the other pellets. These do burn hot, but I am thinking that I am using more of them. Just my 2 cents…. Thanks!
