      1. Quadrafire Castille stove – we have had it for 9 years.
I have burned around a dozen bags of Northern Warmth Super Spruce pellets over the past two weeks, and they burn well in our stove. There is ash build-up after a week, which I remove with a shop-vac, but this is pretty typical in our stove for premium pellets. The outside edges of the glass get dirty after several days, but not enough for me to feel like I need to clean it until the end of the week. I also empty the burn-pot every third day or so, and the remains there are free of clinkers or harsh smells. Cheap pellets I have gotten in the past at Home Depot force me to clean the stove at least twice as often, with dirtier remains. These Super Spruce pellets burn clean. We also burned Okanagans for a couple of seasons in the past, and liked them. The heat output of these Super Spruce pellets is probably not as good as the Okanagans, but it still above average heat, in my judgement.

      2. Northern Warmth is in no way close to the quality of Okanagan. My distributor was told by the new manufacturer that they were the same blend as Okanagan. This was not true. They were terrible. We cleaned ash almost daily. Okanagan Douglas Fir were the best pellets we ever used. What a shame we cannot get them anymore. Not sure what we will chose for this burning season.
