I have had a Whitfield Advantage Plus for > 5 years. I bought a ton of these pellets from the local Tractor Supply. These are the 2nd worst pellet I have bought over the years. Paid about the same price for Lignetics. I would not recommend these pellets. They do not produce the heat of a Lignetic or Hamer. They do produce a lot of dark ash. After buying them I fould that they are not a premium hardwood pellet. I think they have about 15% softwood(with the dark ash I am not sure if pine is used.)
I have a Harman Accentra Pellet Stove Insert. I’ve only had the stove two days now, and I only got these pellets because the stove came with a $200 coupon towards a ton of pellets, and the dealer I got the stove from recommended these pellets. They were $270 a ton instead of what seems to be the regular $220 per ton, around here at least. So far they seem great! I would definitely spend a little more to get these from now on.
Best pellet i burned this year. Bought 3 tons.
New to pellet stoves, bought 2 heatalator and 2 ton for the old domin.pelletd. Had 8 bags that were totally ruined due to moisture and now I’m finding bags with a lot of broken pellets which made ” pellet dust” When this drops into stove it doesn’t burn well and the thermocouple does not see alot of flame and goes out. I nursed boths stove to get the stuff to cucle thru. I’ll try to sift the pellets to try and save what I can. Won’t buy again
I bought these pellets toward the end of the heating season. Around Dec 2010-Mar 2011. I found them at Millers ACE Hardware in Stephens City, VA. I used them in my Regency GF55 Pellet Stove. They burned great! Burned hot and clean. Much hotter than a brand I purchased at Home Depot.
