I have used these pellets for 3 years and never had a problem. this year they are crap i buy 6 ton aand the ash this year is so bad i have to enlt the ash pan every day as it is full and i would say it holds about 3 gallons so 1% ash my butt. i have even noticed that some of the bags had been put up wet as there was a lot of clumps in them and i know they didn’t get wet on my watch as they are stacked in my garage fron the day i pick them up. I anyone can recomend another one please do as this is the last of these i will use.
Bags are intentionally perforated w holes presumably to allow heat or moisture to escape. Tractor Supply stores pellets outside. Pallets are initially wrapped in plastic. Then plastic is removed and bags are exposed to rain and melting snow. Pellets absorb moisture and become a muddy mess. What idiots came up with this idea?
Bought some in oct first few bags burned good now they burn like crap adjusted air flow didn’t help makes more than the 1 percent ash also seems like impurities in pellets burn pot looks like coal after 1/2 day burning
We bought pellets from Tractor supply for the first time and after ten bags we noticed a lot of cresol in the stove and the stove was brand new the glass was so black you could not see through it. Well we ended up with a chimney fire and now a brand new stove that is junk the pellets did not burn right they were clumpy and tons of ash and saw dust comlete garbage!!!
I don’t know with what is going on this year with the Tractor Supply white bag pellet stove fuel but it is absolute garbage! I’ve been a faithful customer buying these pellets last year without any issues at all but this year they are not good at all! I would advise finding another source. The bags are always clumped, wet, full of sawdust, and real dark in color(these don’t burn well at all) !! These are a real waste of money and effort.

Very poor quality. Low BTU’s and too much ash. I’ll go back to Turman or Hamer for good!
Cheap and full of ASH. Says less then 1% i would say more like 20% ash. 3 or 4 bags and the stove is full of ash.
very dirty burn and they smell of old pain in the bag
