I have been burning Allegheny pellets for over 5 years now. I go through 3 to 5 tons a year. They changed the bag to a transparent type for this year and what is inside is not the same as what we had in previous years. I am into my 3rd ton this winter and I think it burns about the same but the ash content is no where near as good as it use to be. The ash may be double what it use to be!
I asked my retailer about it and they said others have been complaining also.
I have enjoyed using Allegheny for my heating, but I think I will look elsewhere.

Love Alleghany pellets. Hard to find in western ny. That sucks. I burn 24 -7. I’ve tried many different brands and they all suck.
Have tried to find Hammer Hot Ones close to us and there does not seem to be anyone close. I left a message to see about becoming a dealer but received no response. We would like to be able to get these as they burn hot, long, and clean. Please advise.
