Stove Chow Wood Pellets
100% Hardwood – Budget‐Friendly Heating Fuel
Stove Chow Wood Pellets are manufactured from clean hardwood sawdust with minimal bark and no added binders. These pellets are designed for homeowners looking to get solid heat performance at a value price, without stepping up into the premium hardwood/softwood fuel category.
Typical specs: Independent user tests report average temperatures 280-340°F on insert doors, ash content around ~0.3-0.4% by weight in some bags, and good burn time for the price. Availability is strong at big-box stores like The Home Depot in several states and many users report they perform well for the cost.
Status note: While many bags of Stove Chow have earned positive feedback, user forums also note batch variation—some runs have higher ash, more fines or weaker performance compared with earlier releases. Always check the bag date, condition and store return policy before buying by the ton.
Bottom line: If you’re after a dependable hardwood pellet that keeps performance consistent and cost relatively low, Stove Chow is a worthy option—just treat it as a “value” fuel and check your bag for signs of freshness and quality before stockpiling.
