Review of American Wood Fibers Hardwood
Oct 2014: High heat, low ash and great looking bag that is solid and thick. What else do you want from a pellet. These pellets burned great so they are absolutely added to the “best” list.<br>
Nov – 2017 – High heat, low ash and great looking bag that is solid and thick. What else do you want from a pellet. This year the ash was just a slight bit higher but still very low. The smell was great and the pellets were really dense. Great heat and overall a very nice pellet. I’m going to add them to the best list.

AWF pellets 🔥
Just got a ton of the AWF premium hardwood pellets from rural king. Got a real bargain for $200 a ton. No complaints on these pellets. They burn hot and slow. Not many fines or dust. Bags are heavy duty too. They were packed very nice and tight on the skid too. Hope I can find these again next season!

Awesome pellets. I would Rank them right up there with Somerset pellets, very clean burning with little ash.
Wish I’d read these reviews before buying a ton of the American Wood Fibers Premium hardwood pellets. The bag looks just like the picture above. Lots of dust/fines.
I have a Breckwell P4000, now 10 years old. I know how to use it well and am a maintenance fanatic, which comes from 20 years spent as a Master Auto Tech. Everything is cleaned regularly, right down to the blades on the combustion and convection blowers. I have burned many brands of pellets over the years and can safely say I have NEVER used a pellet that sucks as bad as these do. For the first time ever the stove does not produce enough heat to maintain home temperature and keep the central heat from kicking on. The ash and clinker buildup is so significant the burn pot is partially clogged within 8 hours. It can’t make it a full 24 hours before I need to shut off the stove to scrape the burn pot and dump the ash out of the base of the burn pot. The ash is darker, thicker, and heavier than the ash from any pellet I’ve ever burned. I am disappointed that they are able to market and sell this crap as a quality pellet, I am disappointed in the local feed store that has otherwise done their homework to supply good quality pellets over the years, but I am thankful I only bought one ton instead of the three tons I was initially going to buy. From now on I’ll do my homework before I hand over the credit card!
Have a Harman accentra insert 4 yrs old and usually burn, Hammers, Greene team, and all was gone so I purchased 20 bags of these White Pine pellets and at first was great. Huge heat, nice small pellets that fed great, and a nice pine smell. Well, after burning 20 bags in a cleaned stove, soot was horrible, kinda sticky black residue inside the heat exchanges, and really gummed up.. Maybe from the pine softwood? Anyway, cleaned the stove and a real mess. I will be going back to the hardwoods from now on. Shame, liked at first especially very hot.
These are the worst pellets I have ever bought. I got 3 tons at HD without trying out first thinking they would be good. Last year with O’Malley Pellets I was cleaning my burn-pot out once to twice a week. I need to do it in excess of twice a day now. These pellets have a ton of clinker buildup in the burn-pot and plug my burn-pot on the high setting. I’m never going to buy this brand again.

I bought ten bags to try them. I immediately bought a ton. Much better than the cubix I was using. Smell great. Very little ash. Burn hot! Ultra premium white pine
